The Black Panther powers come from somewhere, he's not just a rich guy in a suit like Stark. Again most of vibranium and it's "history" explained in the movie derives right from the comics. There are more than one type of vibranium that can be found in multiple regions of the world. So yeah, Marvel can through Vibranium anywhere they want to give plot twists. Just like the Speed Force for Flash. Killmonger throwing T'challa over the cliff was directly pulled from the comics.
Ahh got you I remember that. There are a lot of guys you can choose from this issue. And more than what are shown on this cover. Eternity, the Watcher, Living Tribunal. There were a ton of characters that were there besides Galactus and Silver Surfer. I assume to some extent this kind of stuff will be there.
I agree with all of your points, however in Bucky's case Hydra had already experimented on him before Cap rescued him and others. That's how he survived the fall and only lost an arm.
This is what I'll be interested in. The Infinity story arch in the comics involves major cosmic beings, otherwise known as Gods. If Hawkeye and Black Widow take out Thanos...eh...lol
I'm no LAWYER. But you'd think they could agree to that mega-deal with Fox (which was about much more than just Marvel properties). Win-win on both sides. And in the meantime, in a separate mini-deal, just license out those specific characters that they're not going to be using (Sony did it). Fox's Dr. Doom film seems like a go though...
so considering the contracts of some of these actors and how long they've been with marvel, can we guess the confirmed deaths? - captain america - iron man - hawkeye (probably) - univision - some of the guardians - spiderman (assume sony will take him back) which fits perfectly with the new characters who will take over their spots: - strange doctor - black panther - ant man - captain marvel can thor and hulk even die in the comics?
The thing is why would Disney/Marvel pay anything to Fox for those rights now? They will have them soon enough as part of the larger deal. It might make for a better story to the historical fans of the comics if those characters are included NOW, but really the general audience won't care/won't know the difference and they'll make a boatload. Why even waste $1 if you are Disney/Marvel? I'm really hoping they have a brilliant soft reboot of the universes brought about by Infinity War. Cross it with what happened in Onslaught. Create a Heroes Reborn type scenario where the universes come back together and one character has the memory of all worlds.
cap (highly possible, but contracts can be renegotiated and it's been implied that he would be open to playing cap more) iron man (yep. I think so. avengers 4 though, not 3) hawkeye (could be) vision (yep) guardians (maybe 1 if anything. guardians 3 is one of the first next phase movies, so I don't think they will have severe casualties) spiderman (no chance, the next phase opens with spiderman) black widow (nope, she has a movie coming up) hulk (ruffalo seems to like playing the character, he'll at least be around for part 4)
Heroes that don't have a planned movie coming out, or aren't part of a sequel (besides maybe IW 2), are likely to get the axe. - Iron Patriot / War Machine - Hawkeye - Captain America - Iron Man - Vision - Scarlet Witch - Wong Heroes that play a small part of a team - Mantis from GotG I think those characters have the biggest death potential.
