He played most of his snaps last season at center. That's how he got that grade. Here's the best part: source: https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/201...us-zach-fulton-could-draw-plenty-of-interest/
Cause grossly overpaying one player to fix one hole while hindering your chances to fix other holes is the way to go. We’ve got OLine depth, we’re trying to get more DB help. Let’s try to be patient since the FA period just started.
Not the best but overall Free Agency for the Texans has been solid. They addressed the offensive line and secondary. If we can sign the Honey badger the grade will go from a B to B+. They will more and likely addressed the Left tackle spot in the draft.
If the whole is the LT then yes. But you don't have to get the most expensive OL. But you can get maybe the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th best available. Right now they got guys who were backups forced to start last season due to injuries. They are hoping they turn out to be just as good starting for the whole season. I can list out FAs who have been starters and who get paid just as much as the players Texans got i.e. Breeland vs Colvin, Hubbard/Kline vs Fulton, etc. It's not like our posting actually affects the Texans' decision making. The Texans should be the one you should be telling to not be impatient.
That's like the Rockets saying we're not going to overpay for Chris Paul but we have Patrick Beverly and Sam Dekker.
He literally can't catch the ball. Have a few Raiders friends who hate the guy. I think the fanbase does...
Same folk that probably didn't want to give up Daz Cameron and Jake Rogers to get overpaid Justin Verlander
well at least Marcus Gilchrist might be signing with the Raiders, so might not be coming back. we all know the Texans wanted him back (they want all their players back)
I understand why Texan fans are impatient. We should be. This front office has been a train wreck from the beginning. Having said that, I could see where our new gm sees that its impossible to fix this OL and the DB in one year and is loading up with best available at reasonable prices to build depth and hoping that we can get our future starters on the OL next year and find a diamond in the rough here and there. We are probably going to suck for at least the next two years. Longer if this gm drafts as poorly as Rick Smith. There could be an outside chance that we find another DB and our Def Line becomes elite again in which case we might contend for a playoff spot on defense alone. Then the goal becomes to keep Watson from getting killed while we wait for the cavalry in the next year or two. It was poor planning to have to rely on FA in the offensive line this year. It was Solder or bust and he isn't all world. Most the rest are journeyman cast offs that make for decent depth, but unfortunately, will be starters for us.
i seen a report that if he was release he would like to play for a team in Texas (Dallas or Texans) About the not catching part- should pair well with Fuller
