These guys remind me of the sports debates I used to have with my friends when I was in 7th grade. All talk and no substance. But it matter to us.... Maybe an excuse not to go to class...

It’s like the same vibe of the movie “Stand by Me”

I had to stop halfway through Stephen A's spiel. Is it me or is he getting worse?

At the beginning of the season it was Steven A arguing for the Rockets and Max shitted on us. I think Steven A talks this way to keep the Rockets motivated and hungry.

Both guys will flip flop on the Rockets 2 or 3 more times before the end of the season

Lol really?? How noble of Steven A......

Actually, he talks this way because it's what gets him paid millions of dollars. He doesn't give a **** about being right or wrong.....he just has to create controversy with his words.

PSA: The 'E' in ESPN stands for ENTERTAINMENT, while the 'SPN' is for Sports Programming Network.

I find it 'entertaining' how their 'programming' has programmed posters to spam the BBS with their BS. Well played, ESPN.

    Carry on...

The CP3 effect. He still wouldn't vote Harden to MVP

It's not really hate, it's acting.

    Unlike TNT. ESPN is fake.

It's all staged folks - don't you get that? If they agree there is no show

Guess I can get rid of my cable. I can count on Clutchfans to bring me all the hot takes each day.

I’ve broke it down before. Jalen is right. Quick summary.

Players abused in a series vs each other:
GSW: McCaw, Casspi, Looney, Zaza, McGee (5 players)
Rockets: Black, Nene, we don’t play Qi and Nanu in the season and we won’t play them in the playoffs. (2 players)

Players who can stay in the game at all times in a series vs each other:
GSW: Livingston, Klay, Durant, Draymond, Iggy (5 players)
Rockets: Eric Gordon, Harden, Gerald Green, Ariza, Tucker, Luc MaM (6 players)

Questionable players in head to head matchup:
    GSW: (4 players)
Nick Young: poor defender that can shoot you out of games.
Bell: Harden & CP3 like isolating him at the top of the break 3-pt line. Rookie making rookie mistakes, hitting rookie wall
West: Harden & CP3 iso him on perimeter. Does better job than Bell.....but does get beat. On roller skates.
Curry: won’t be allowed to just guard spot up shooter. Joe Johnson post ups will be the theme with Curry.

    Rockets (6 players)
Ryan Anderson: laterally challenged. Draymond claims Ryno gives him trouble. Because Dray wants to free lance
on defense and Ryno will kill him by shooting 26 footers. Plus roam to rim for rebounds at 6’10” frame can present
problems if not checking out or putting a body on throughout.
Capela/Wright: can they defend on the perimeter or put on skates by Curry. They seem to do better than most centers.
Joe Johnson: fast pace game if players don’t make shots. Running Joe Johnson off the court. Joe can stay on
the court by making shots; especially over smaller player(s). Pace slows down; but offense remains efficient.
CP3: like Curry getting attacked in the post by bigger players, CP3 will be attacked in the post by bigger players.

*Side note: Curry and CP3 can each stay on the court by creating points for team as well as self. Need to be
closer to plus than minus in the plus/minus.

Casspi is a bad defender. Rockets had him as a spot up shooter when he was in Houston. Warriors use him
    as a cutter.
    per basketball-reference.com:
    Casspi (17/18): 14.3 mins/game, 0.2 (3PM), 0.5 (3PA), 45.5%. So will they give him the ball on the perimeter?

    per stats.nba.com (playtype-Cuts)
Casspi (17/18): 28.6% frequency, 1.08 ppp, 14.8 percentile (high frequency level).
Key on Casspi as a cutter and you can render him useless.

    (playtype-Off Screens)
    Casspi (17/18): 2.4% frequency, 0.67 ppp, ——percentile

Nick Young as a Cutter: 3.3% frequency, 1.67 ppp, 98.1 percentile.

    Stephen A. Smith
    can go pound sand.

and they are there to PROGRAM these opinions into the public. The media controls the narrative. That’s why a trash player like Klay Thompson is a 3 time all star and having people even think he was on James Hardens level. Ridiculous ****.

He seems like even he is getting tired of his schtick.

The show is so formulaic that almost every time I see it on TV, Stephen A's body language looks like he just wants to take a nap.

I thought he might be onto something with that whole Houston-won't-be-able-to-do-what-they-do-against-The-Warriors argument so I'm watching the January 20th game right now.

There is nothing about the Warriors defense that tells me we can't do what we do so far. We seem to avoid this whole switch then take them on one on one thing. However, the PnR and pace n space thing works just fine.

Edit: We targeted KD and they countered by switching Livingston on him. That ended with a bucket. They put Looney on him afterwards... same thing. Forced to foul. I struggle to believe that isolating Curry would yield positive results.

More Edit: CP3 just got switched onto Zaza and isolated him in the paint for a jumper. Harden tried to ISO KD and it looked bad. Three pointer was partially blocked.
