    It's true. The real lede is that a key advisor to the transition has pled guilty to conspiring against the interests of the united states and is now assisting the investigation.

    Manafort is toast, but we've known that for a while. They just turned the toaster to a more cruel, carbon-coated setting. But he's still toast. LOL

    Mueller is thorough / meticulous w the investigation, squeezing underlings (Popadakous, Flynn, Gates and potentially Manafort) to flip on the top person and family members

    it's reminiscent of how the US Gov't had taken down John Gotti's corrupt mafia family.

    IIRC,
    it was Muller who had supervised the investigation, and the eventual conviction, of the Gotti mafia.
    It's deja vu all over again !​

    A better question, I think (considering who we're talking about here) would be:

    "Why would he bother telling the truth when a lie is so much more effective for him?"

    Maybe the truth the Donald constantly and consistently tells, is the truth we don't want said aloud—he doesn't really give a damn about anything or anybody but himself...and that's what we really want, anyway.

    ...Seems like a big chunk of this country is (and really, always has been) much more comfortable hearing a lie from a white man than the truth from a black man...

    Didn't dismiss all charges yet. Mueller announced he was dropping 20 charges (the newest charges recently announced). The two original charges are still in place (totaling 6 years in prison). Mueller may also drop those... and can reinstate all charges depending on...

    Yep, Gates must have given up lots of good stuff... and Mueller has ways to make sure Gates tells the truth and keeps his story. I sure would hate having Mueller on my trail...
