I'm glad the Rockets finished with the best record in the league before the All Star break. In fact - it's 2 games over GSW because of the tie breaker. But the next 8 games will be a test: Minnesota - always tough, 4 playoff position at Denver - possible irst round playoff oppenent at Utah - on a 11 game win streak at Clippers - stay out of the locker room Boston - top record in the East at Oklahoma - always a tough game - playoff team at Milwaukee - another tough playoff team at Toronto - Best in the East? 6 of 8 on the road too. We will see what kind of team we are after this...it's gravy after that with mostly home games too.
Didn't we just recently spank those first three teams. I think we come out strong. Over the past few years Houston has come out of the All Star break fairly hot. January is usually our bad month
One game at a time. Rockets will be fine and definitely show up against the playoff teams. If they were playing the likes of Mavs and Kings for that stretch I'd be a tad more "concerned" because of their tendency to play down to competition and making things more difficult than they should be.
The backend of Feb plus the 15 games we play in March will be brutal and perhaps the toughest stretch of the szn.
Well I'm really looking forward to this. This Rocket team is like no other...a very special team. I think we fair quite well during that 8 game stretch
I agree the next 8 are tough . I don't necessarily think they will tell us anything that we don't already know , or would be a reason to panic if we do worse than expected . Lots of factors can play into the outcomes ... And the form we exhibit coming out of the ASB will not always reflect the form we have in the playoffs . That being said going 8-0 or 7-1 would be impressive and could set us up nicely .
