This trade is good for us. LeBron now has leverage to tell the Cavs to trade him to Houston, or he will sign with the Lakers.

Is Bron really feeling adding Clarkson and Larry Nance? C’mon now, that’s a mediocre move. He’s gone.

How are they going to get 3 max contracts?

The only way you build a 3 superstar team under the cap is by having one of those superstars already locked up. That's how the Heat did it, that's how the Warriors did it.

They are not going to have the space for that and I doubt 2 of those guys will be willing to take the massive paycut for that to happen.

Problem is not the Lakers have better pieces in a SNT for James. I guess I comes down to, id Lebron wants to be a Rocket it will happen.

CP3 wants to win. He can do that here. Barring injuries, the only thing preventing the Rockets from winning it all this season is the Warriors. And they're more vulnerable than ever since their first title run.

If LBJ likes the trade it is because IT is gone. Addition by subtraction.

Honestly the most troubling part from the Rockets perspective isn't that the Lakers cleared cap space. The fact that the Cavs traded expirings and a #1 for players that are under contract the next few years means that there is a high likelihood of LeBron James remaining in Cleveland. The Cavs are in luxury tax HELL and have put themselves in it even deeper the next two seasons. This move is going to cost the Cavs tens of millions of dollars in taxes. The Cavs don't do this move unless they think they are keeping LeBron.

On a side note, Nance Jr. is one of the 5 most underrated defenders in the NBA.

I really like it for the Cavs ....

And, if there was ever a doubt, LBJ's gone.

I hope Lebron stays in Cleveland. Does that make me a bad Rockets fan?

Now that is true as well. Rockets always needed someone to leverage.

That said, LBJ can also put heat on Paul George to join him in LA since the room IS NOW AVAILABLE. That's key too. Despite all of the OKC talk from PG, he could be tempted playing AT HOME, WITH LBJ, AND that young talent.

Nope I don't think lonzo is the plan in l.a. as soon as they can get someone else that can put people in the seats. He gone. To me he is not a very good player n will never be for the lavar factor

I’d be very depressed if our 2 biggest free agency dreams headed to the Lakers, especially if the team we have right now shows that they clearly can’t beat GS in a series

I really like Nance, he'll be good for them this year. That said, he's really not a guy who provides any value to a bad team. Not sure where he fits into Cleveland's long-term plans.

    Clarkson is meh.

Paul isn’t going anywhere. This situation is just too good to leave. Look what they're doing his FIRST year here. He’d be a fool to walk away from Harden and Morey.
