    superstars matter,

game came down to 1 team having 2 elite closers and the other having none.

What was wrong with Ariza? He wasn't shooting tonight.

Pulled this one out. We have harder time defending teams cutting hard and or having size on us inside. We need a strong enforcer in the middle. Get it done Morey.

The Heat team they just played was minus 2 starters-Waiters and Dragic (best and most valuable player on the team).

Harden would be the GOAT offensive player if he had the layup package of Kyrie/Curry considering he can get to the rim whenever he wants. He doesn't have the athleticism of LeBron, Westbrook or Durant so he needs to play with more finesse at the rim instead of bully ball.

Swear he missed like 10 shots at that the rim & he couldn't buy a call

Lingering effects of the hammy. He usually finishes those. You don’t put up his kind of numbers if you can’t finish.

And we won the past few games without Ariza (Many times playing a team without their normal players are actually tougher mentally to do well against). There are no excuses when you are one of the elite teams in the league. You just try to win regardless of what team is put in front of you.

Rockets play down to the competition......but they also rise against elite teams. Human nature.

They will be fine. Enjoy the win

So after Harden jacked his typical "I try to close with a 3-pointer" (which was blocked), CP3 made sure the next two shots were mid-range ones. We win.

    Reign him in Chris....

Harden's drive is also mostly straight line, which makes it much easier to get blocked. Harden's style of drawing fouls is born out of the fact that he's not an elite athlete nor has the finishing skills of Kyrie or Steph. He's still pretty good tho, just not the best at the rim.

    Give MDA tons of credit.

His 8-man rotation was expanded to 9 tonight.

Who cares if Green averages 0 minutes? ;)

Whiteside would be unstoppable in Clint's role on our team.

Everyone should have known it would not be s great game. Back to normal starting lineup meaning Mbah adjusting, Harden still not a 100%, the way the Heat play and coming off an emotional win. And MDA with of course little clue about how to give Green minutes...Harden 35 minutes again!

    Mike:

After initial hit, defense stepped up. Thought it could be that way after emotional victory Saturday. They're good. Whiteside is back & long, guys can switch. Came down to James & Chris creating/getting big buckets, along with the defense.

Like to see your team win that way?

You come up with different guys, different ways to win. I thought we did. Guys not used to the rotation with everyone back. Hate it for Gerald not to play but guys have to understand the rotations are what they are. Better make hay when you're in there because someone else is coming in right behind you.

Gordon struggling, do you say anything?

You don't say anything. He knows it. He's not trying to miss. He'll come back & be fine.
