It is hard to put a bad defense on Mike when he was dealt such a **** hand. He was given a dumpster fire of a secondary to start the season off. Not a single one of those players should be on the roster next year. Than loses two of his best three pass rushers.

Wait, I thought the only reason we have won any games with BOB was because or RAC and his defense. Now you are saying he's terrible?

So when the offense gets worse every year it is BOB's fault but when our defense goes from best to worst after getting Vrabel he still gets praised and its also somehow BOB's fault? #narrative

It's pretty clear that you completely misunderstood what I was saying. The reason the defense struggled so much this season is because nearly the entire starting unit was injured....but people were trying to blame it on RAC and Vrabel getting promotions on paper. It was still the same system that was run the previous seasons and RAC was still on the headset. It was a sarcastic response to those who feel like the Texans will do better now that Vrabel is gone.

.....you get that it was still RAC's defense right? Changing his title so that Vrabel wouldn't leave last year doesn't really change that it was RAC's defense. The main problem with the defense was injuries to nearly all of their starters. On offense, you had the outlier of Watson's amazing performance making up for the terrible coaching, but aside from that the offense looked exactly like what you have seen from BOB ever since he's been here.

No fans will really know how much responsibilities has been changed with the Vrabel/RAC promotion.

    But we know two things.

One, only signification personnel changes were Bouye, Mericulus and possibly Demps being removed this season vs last season when they were a top defense.

Second, our half-time adjustments on defense were phenomenal under RAC. This season, it plain suck.

It doesn’t make sense to lose two top players and have the position plummets all the way to worst place. Correlation points to coaching

Are we really sure Vrabel is a better defensive mind than Dick Lebeau?

They were still "under RAC", that's my point. He didn't go anywhere. When you talk about how many players were lost, you have to include all of those starters who were lost to injury....that was the biggest factor.

Don't listen to the radio morons giggling about how bad Vrabel will be. They know not of what they speak.
