Heck yes we are, Clint! It's like in Rocky IV when Rocky cut Drago with a punch, and realized he's just another dude. The Rockets now know they're beatable.
Who cares? Say what you want CC, the Warriors are a machine. If anyone thinks this will make a difference to their approach they are fooling themselves. Need to win that last one against them.
Yes. The problem with Clint talking this way isn't just that we might lose our humility. It's that the Warriors might regain their hunger. Their complacency is our best friend.
Well, the important thing is that we're all going to celebrate together this June, that's why that aggressive tone shouldn't be a part of this forum, specially after a great feel good win! I see what you say and it doesn't really bother me, it's a bit trollish in my opinion but that's the internet, not a big problem. Getting back to the thread, CC is wrong in the content but I love that he feels and say that. As someone pointed, it won't make Warriors wake up and all of a sudden be better than they already are. Coming from yesterday, so many things to celebrate: EGo sucked big time and Harden is 70 per cent healthy at best. CP3 had to take control, hence the big statline, but he didn't have a particular great game by his standards, some turnovers that we don't see often. So for us to take the W we had to use D, something we have been badly missing since the 14-game win streak. We shut them down without Ariza! We can - and should, actually - criticize our team, that's obvious, but last night wasn't the night. Anytime we face the Warriors and get away with a win is not the night. We can go back and point everything that went wrong during both championship runs, but it's just pointless, don't you agree? We haven't won anything this year, my comparison is not 100 per cent accurate, but we cannot get run out of the court during the regular season and expect to magically turn things around and beat them come playoff time. Winning the season series and playing the way we did in the 3 games is a sign we're on the right path!
Does anyone think the Warriors will try less hard in the WCF if we talk humbly and with deference. . Besides, it is the same confidence, backed up by work ethic ,which made Clint insist in coming over before the Rockets thought he should.
So what. All Clint did was put it out there for the Dubs to think about. Now the Dubs will have to hear about the Rox until the WCF. 18 Rox are coming and the Dubs know it. Message sent.
I'm boring so topic! If u guys thinks the Rockets is a better team than the Warriors, the Rockets is in danger! the Warriors has won 2 champion in 3 years, what has ur team done?
Agreed. The Dubs will be hearing about the Rockets and their 'puncher's chance" From now until one of us is eliminated from the playoffs Rocket River
I think the Warriors know how to play as an underdog as well. Playoffs as the 8th seed against the 1st seed Mavs with MVP Dirk that year.
This is what you call “playing the underdog”? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...o-team-has-a-f-king-clue-how-to-beat-warriors Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green confidently said other NBAtitle contenders "don't have a f--king clue" how to handle the defending champion Dubs.
Role players in the playoffs need "confidence" to buoy them. Help raise their game to the next level where the stars live. Capela, Gordon, Tucker.....them having confidence is a BIG deal. This is the mentality that Cassell, Elie and Horry had.
C'mon, the Warriors are not going to be "complacent" in the playoffs. That only effects the regular season. In the playoffs everyone is locked in. Warriors will be 100. Rockets just need to raise their confidence to get as close to 100 as possible.
We need him to bring this attitude every night. There's still plenty of humbling games out there to play if he doesn't bring it.
