Clear goaltending right before all this mayhem happened. Thats the reason MDA was up screaming at the ref, and they are the reason all game tempers were high. Blake shouted profanities at every block, missed call, charge throughout the game and not once did the refs calm things down. It felt like we were playing Cant keep playing 5 vs 6. First game vs LA a guy gets his 6th foul and they gave it to lou who was standing in the corner , NOW in this game a clear goal tending call that would have cut the lead to 6 with 330 to go instead turned to game over.A ball hitting the backboard should be the one thing a ref cant miss.At most have it reviewed ffs. When the hell with this BS stop.
It might have been the refs' fault that the game got out of hand and the teams started getting physical. But they didn't cause us to lose our lead and miss all those 3s. I think I was more surprised that nothing happened to Blake the two times he yelled, "THAT'S A F*&KING FOUL!!" One of those times lunging in the refs direction. The way he threw the ball off Gordon was kind of a wtf too. But whatever move on.
Agreed. The layup goal tend was ridiculous. Less than 5 minutes, they can blow the whistle to review it. They basically DECIDED the game there. They literally told the Rockets, "You're going to lose this game anyway, I'm not gonna review plays when I know you're losing."
Go with A.I. already. Robots will be taking over all jobs soon anyway (says Stephen Hawking....i for one agree) Tennis using lasers for out of bounds calls Baseball should use strike zone monitors to call balls and strikes Cars are going driver-less
Don't worry, the NBA aren't going to hold any of their refs accountable just like the previous game. You and the Rockets org can complain all we want but the truth is, the NBA decides who wins and losses in close games. We can only avoid that outcome if we blowout teams like the Warriors do.
"They were talking crazy throughout the game," Gordon said. "Yeah, they were playing well. We just didn't like how it ended. The refs let them talk crazy until something had to happen. We're not going to stand by with somebody out there like that. Blake Griffin, he's talking crazy. All those guys were talking big.
This was the craziest part to me. You could hear Blake yell and curse at the ref through the tnt broadcast and he never got a technical, but Gerald green just looks at the ref and swings his arms and gets T’d up.
How did refs cause Rockets to shoot 40% FG and 30% 3FG chucking 44 of them? How did refs cause Clippers to shoot 56% FG and 40% 3FG? Rockets just played crappy while Clippers played well. Rockets didn't deserve to win. Refs blew some calls but not all calls went in the Clippers favor. Sometimes, especially this game, a team loses simply because they didn't play well enough.
The ref can't always be the scape goat when the rockets were shooting like crap and defense was below par.
couldn't agree more. collectively, the worst nba officiating i've seen in a long time and this group of refs are frequently losing control of games and making things worse.
They’re allowed to review goaltend calls, and didn’t do so? I assumed the replay rules made that non-reviewable. And before people complain too much about that, realize that the Rockets (Les) were one of the teams against video replay.
If there's no call on the floor, you can't review it. All you need to do is blow the whistle to be able to review it if there's 5 mins or less remaining in regulation.
