Rockets guard James Harden did some shooting after his team's shootaround on Wednesday, though his return from a strained hamstring is not considered imminent. Even with signs of improvement, Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said Harden will not be able to lobby for a quick return because he will stay out of that decision.
"I walk into there to the trainers," Mike D'Antoni said. "'Can he play?' 'No.' Then he can't play There is no challenge. He's going to try to push the envelope because he wants to play. That's on trainers and doctors. I don't figure into it. He'd beat me up."
Let him and Mbah sit for awhile. I feel like this CP3 led group is about to turn it up. Give them each another month
But, but "Harden's camp" told him he'd be back "anytime next week." He's still got it Pinned, so like potato head, he's not backing down. I'm sure Kelly's twitter strategy to "report" earliest injury return times over any other media person who follows the Rockets will continue working for him, though. For Harden it is insider info from posse members, for Moute it was "MDA indicating" this week, whatever that means without quotes. For the trade deadline rumor frenzy, let's see if he jumps in with something.
Sounds like they're sticking with original timeline. He will be reevaluated Monday (2 weeks mark) and they will go from there. No return imminent because he still must make it through that follow up.
If Luc is healthy I don't see any point in resting him longer. He has great chemistry with CP3 too and has already sat a month. Don't rush him back, but sitting him only increases the chances of injury to other people that have to take his minutes, like Ariza and Tucker.
