the thing is tucker is in a shooting slump as well, maybe even worse than ryno. and his defense has fallen off sharply as well. meanwhile he's one of worst finishers in the paint
True, but again I think a shakeup some times helps players who are in a slump. You don't want to do it too often, but its about time for D'Antoni to try something, IMO.
The big problem, what gets us behind the eight-ball, is that Ryan Anderson is nearly worthless in the Toyota Center. Naturally many of us have repeated this ad nauseum. Newlywed-bliss, too comfortable when home? Color scheme and sight lines in TC? Whatever it is, he's almost night and day at home and on the road. And like a lot of poor defenders, once he gets abused on that end, his offense goes south. Problem is, there are few teams that would take him, and you'd have to staple draft picks to his contract, or include Capela (but only if your return haul is niiiiiice). And Capela is too valuable to lose. Yes, except for the game-winner against the Lakers (essentially), Tucker has been on a milk carton lately. We were in last night's game but CP3, EGO, and was-playing-YMCA-pickup-games-a-week-ago Gerald Green can't do it all against the likes of Golden State (with or without Kevin Durant).
yah too bad we still don't have prince luc.....he'd be great at the 4 spot to start against most teams
I remember earlier in the season of people being glad that we didn't trade for Melo. When Ryno is hitting shots its a thing of beauty but unfortunately that just hasn't been the case for a few weeks now.
At some point the Rockets' brass have to acknowledge there's a serious mental issue with Ryan Anderson at home. I don't know what the solution is, but yes they do need to try something. Maybe start him on the road only. Related to that, if Anderson is significantly better on the road, do we really want home court advantage against the Warriors? Not only is Anderson bad at home, so is our crowd in general. Not a coincidence our win against them was on the road. If we could've snuck by the Spurs last year in the playoffs (Game 5 loss was the dagger, led to a Game 6 collapse), I think we could've given the Warriors a great series.
Rockets would use the stretch provision on him if they don't find a good trade. Anderson is not stopping this eam's chances at getting LeBron.
you know, it'd be interesting to see Ryno getting sent to the G-league. it'd be very telling. if he can't drop 20+ points there, there's no way he's worth anything at all in the NBA.
actually tucker is having breweresque slump ryan is 37% for the season.. this is a solid 3pt percentage
Let's not get too carried away, Ryan Anderson would dominate the scrubs in the G League, he'd be like Prime Dirk reincarnated down there.
And you're telling me not to get carried away? No point in arguing in any case, 20 mil player ain't going down to any G-league.
