Thon Maker is a really good player that is on the wrong team right now. I say we should pick him up and make him a stretch 5. The Bucks are not using him correctly and if he was here he would shine way more. What do y'all think?
I mean, he'd be a great acquisition, but I just am not sure he'd break rotation. We're in win now mode. Think he could develop into something great in the next 2-3 years though
We have Zhou already not developing in that role. What sense would it make to give up pieces to not develop him too? Unless you wanna start collecting 7' skinny guys for every position and just truly have a weird looking basketball team.
I watched some youtube vid talking about Thon. Everyone said he was terrible at shooting or finishing, but was working 10X harder than his peers and it's why he was picked over everyone else. I like hard workers, but I also like good basketball players. I think we need better basketball players. While I liked Chuck Hayes and Shane Battier, they were the heroes we deserved, not the one we need right now.
It should be mandatory for these player acquisition threads to also include how we are going to get said player and/or who do we have to give up. Then makes $3M this year and next year. That puts in the category of Nene, Black, or a pu pu platter of Capela, Moute, Brown, Qi, or Williams. Bucks will NOT want Brown (neither would we give up CP3 and Harden's bestie) and I doubt Bucks would trade him for Qi or Williams either. This leaves Nene, Black, Capela, and Moute... all of whom are vastly better and proven and useful RIGHT NOW for our team. So with this in mind, why the **** would we do this?
Thon Maker is already on the decline in his career physically. You can't expect a 45 year old to run around with a bunch of 23-24 year olds.
I know you're joking but I'm liking anyway. You like my stuff all the time and I don't mind being razzed by you for the Rubio thing. Made me laugh. Merry Christmas Bro.
