if Morey could create a core of Harden, CP3, Capela, Gordon, and Paul George then I think we’d be right up there with GS

I know the ultimate prize is Lebron, but PG just fits in so well...he’s shooting 43% from 3 on 8 attempts a game, his defense is very good, and he’d slide right into that #2 role on offense behind Harden...he’s exactly what we need

It should be Harden, Irving, Lebron, Giannis and Durant. Definitely not Curry. That tracker is just poop.

This chart (and the highlights that go with it) is why we're going to end up trading Capela. Asset inflation well underway.

    Unexpected? By who?

Every concievable stat out there shows that Clint has improved every year, in a very steady manner. Green made a fairly immediately leap that was significantly harder to predict. (Also, refs distorting GS's production, but let's assume the league couldn't have known without hindsight)

Eric has always been an outstanding, albiet injured, player. Reversion to the mean should be the expected outcome in a scenario where he is healthy the majority of the time.

Why would we trade an MVP candidate?

for marketing reasons perhaps, anyway to me capela is like hardens 3rd and 4th hand i think harden wouldn't traded him except for lebron or curry

Question is what would you trade Capela for AND how would you supplant that production from the center position? Zhou Qi??? Nene? Small Ball it?

I'd be willing to trade Capela for the right price (like Morey) but it has to make sense all around.

you want to be the guy who finds Capela, not the guy who signs him to a $100m contract.

    Morey is a horrible gm™ @RocketsTruth

Because he's an MVP candidate. You trade players who have more perceived than actual value. And in this case, what's driving most of his value is the backcourt and the system.

I know LeBron is GOAT of this generation, but it has been seen multiple times players around him get worse to accomodate his talent. Kyrie, Love, Bosh etc. Meanwhile, all players around Harden get better. LeBron may be better than Harden, but his talent alone more often than not can't compensate for his teammate's shortcomings, which his style of play is responsible for.

The best thing about it, he's 23.

I also think he has a touch around the rim so he can get a lot better if developed well.
