Paging @RocketsTruth He's 0-6 now. And it is Nov 4th, 2017. What do the numbers say? Or does Gematria only explain things after the fact.
What a weird thread. He clearly has the hands to become a good shooter one day. It is really sad to see a 99er picking on our young rookies after they have shown some potential.
I feel a lot of the hate towards him is completely unnecessary and unreasonable. He doesn't complain nor is he an active social media figure like Lin so I don't know why he gets so much flack. I hope he continues to improve because I like his demeanor and attitude. Reminds me a lot of rookie Yao's attitude who basically just kept his head down and played.
They are running plays for him to shoot 3s Other fans here say he’s a three point shooter He’s seven foot tall nobody is blocking his shot
Yao was also more talented since he was 1st overall, and he had plenty more playing time. Clint Capela was also a sub 20% free throw shooter in his first few seasons. Give him time, I think he can become a solid contributor.
This is just a poll of when he will make a three point shot Other ClutchFans are convinced he’s a great shooter
He's a rookie from China dude. This is not something to be stubborn about. We have a young hard-working kid with good potential and who has been trained terribly so far in his career. And every single person in this thread knows they can produce a list of players who missed their first 10 3pt shots and went on to become good players. If we're Rockets fans, we should be rooting for our young guys, instead of getting stuck into an argument where you "lose" if a Rockets player does well. Qi will become an excellent 3pt shooter. His form is impeccable. Clearly he's dealing with nerves and the speed of the NBA. He's not used to aggressive super-quick close-outs. I was slightly skeptical until MDA's comments saying he's at minimum going to be a good player. MDA can say something diplomatic instead of being super positive. He doesn't have to kiss Qi's ass. That tells me the kid is a hard worker in practice and has shown some NBA skills. I look forward to his development and hope we're not going to see overblown drama about Qi all season long. Just want the Rockets youngster to succeed.
