No. No name calling is necessary. They’re just used to lower someone. I hate things you say but I don’t name call you.
Name calling.....like calling someone a racist over how their completely innocent words were spun by assholes playing politics trying to work up the ignorant masses to further their personal agenda? Would you say that's unnecessary?
Like I said, I don’t think name calling is necessary. I mentioned already that I didn’t believe McNair was a racist. You just continue to call people assholes and stupid. Just like I’ve taken up for you at times, I do the same with others. Y’all have to relax on that.
I respect your opinion on the issue because it's consistent. For me, I only support "name calling" when I believe that it is factually accurate with sufficient evidence to support the "name". In those situations it's merely an accurate description of the person....but again, I understand your position on the issue. Duane Brown's actions this entire season have been reprehensible, and he's done more to damage the team in the week he's been back than anyone in franchise history.
I watch sports for entertainment, stress relief, and fantasy. I want to escape the pressures, conflicts, and craziness of everyday life. When sports takes on the "noise" of controversy, conflicting social narratives, and political opinions, I check out. Enjoy the "game." I won't be watching today.
McNair should have known that in 2017 people are too sensitive to be reasonable. Plus creating all this drama and headlines creates buzz and conversation and clickbait articles and EVERYONE WINS!!! (Except the Texans)
Even if he knew that, what was he going to do about it? Just never say anything ever? When there are people out there looking to spin anything you say into something offensive, there's not much you can do about it. They'll find an excuse to be upset. Honestly the only thing you can do about it is either never say anything or just don't actually say anything offensive and try to play down the madness when it starts.
What's funny is that certain people not getting their way in that election is likely what has caused all of the ridiculous lashing out that we've seen since then. In another thread I was talking about emotionally compromised people.....well that has created MANY emotionally compromised people and they seemingly never cease to embarrass themselves as a result.
Clearly not, which is a damn shame. If the players had any sense of professionalism then we absolutely could, but that's too much to ask unfortunately.
Then again, let's look on the bright side, maybe all of this was just a set up for an epic Philly fake out and the Texans' players were only pretending to be incredibly stupid and unprofessional and plan to lure the Seachickens into a false sense of confidence before giving them the money shot. Let's hope.
