I really believe in the guy. Unfortunately he's only got a 1 year deal. Anyone that goes from 42% FT shooting to 75% in a year deserves respect. People make a big deal out of Karl Malone for going from 48% to 60% to 70% to 74% for his career, but Karl Malone is a certified jackass. He left the only town that likes him and it took him years to get respectable. Tarik did it in one offseason. I think he's going to blossom this year in his consistency and his numbers will make it difficult to take him off the court. Literally, the only redeeming thing about Karl Malone is that he was born in the greatest state in the union. His face is ugly, he talks like an idiot, his muscles are glamor muscles only and Hakeem showed this to be true over and over again, his elbows were mass murderers, his best friend on the court wore diapers instead of shorts, he lost the last game of every season of his career, his children are tainted for life unfairly, he's the son of a motherless goat, and he was the only player on the Dream Team that didn't deserve to be there. Meanwhile, Tarik Black is awesome and deserves a taco twelve pack, a baker's dozen of jelly donuts and two six packs of lonestar. Man will be a legend after this season and postseason.
It would be perfect timing as Nene gets older and Clint comes up on free agency. Our defense should be WAY better than the Trez, Dekker 4-5 we rolled out at times last year. Black & Tucker/Moute can hold it down for sure.

when hes healthy alot of people we will be very surprised. Hes tough can catch alleys, has the body to bang and set picks, boxes out good on rebounds
I am excited as well for the Rockets after Daryl Morey signed Tarik Black. When will Mike D'Antoni insert Black into the lineup? When Ryan Anderson's or Trevor Ariza's shots are off this guy should be let loose.
Many forget how good Donkey Dick Dorsey was. He was our secret weapon... XFactor. On the real though... I remember once he grabbed a board like he was King James, went coast to coast and nutmegged someone with a bounce pass to an Ariza layup. CF was on fire all night with Dorsey jokes lmfao
Announcers used to talk about how great Malone was for improving his FT percentage. Tarik did too, but in a shorter time frame. Also, when given an opportunity to juck the Fazz in any small or great way, as a Rockets fan you must do it.
They cut Black cause Dorsey contract was guaranteed for the year after but yeah, it was a (little in the end) mistake.

Very active and played good one on one d. He was switching on the pick and roll and was keeping up with guards. He also brought a ton of energy. He is a solid back up. Glad to have him just in case Capela or Nene have injury issues this season.
