My thoughts on the team after the game tonight.

It looks like Watson is for real, which means the future is bright.....but the defense is hot garbage, which means the present is not great.

Disagree. McKinney owns the middle of that line. Most of his tackles or in that area and even when he blitz, he comes from the middle.

Ah, I missed most of the game, just saw that he got 5 TD's so I assumed he played well all game.

I understand that, and Cole and Cunningham can fill that role while adding more coverage ability. Moving McKinney to the strong side still puts him in position to make plays on the ball and put his length and size to more use in pass rush roles.

With Clowney back playing with his hand down, the front seven can play bend but don't break and be good at it. But damn the dbs are playing so undisciplined. Dj swearinger would look good right about now.

As depressing as it is to lose Watt (mostly bc writing on the wall for his career) & Merci, we were still able to get decent pressure. Our weakness was setting the edge, preventing a Smith run, and the f***ing secondary. Every single player in the secondary was absolutely awful, specifically Hal, Gilchrist, & Joseph.

Losing Bouye & relying on KJ was a massive gamble that I won't understand. Should have cut Joseph. Thankfully, we don't have many great offenses left on the schedule.

Yeah, there's been a few. Ralph, Yao, and who else got injured?

Joe Morgan blowing up elsewhere didn't help the landscape.

Brown for any malcontent 3-4 DE or olb would make sense. Unless the organization is still pretending there is no contract dispute with brown. What houldout?

Demps was a huge loss as well. JJo getting juked on the 3rd and long that basically sealed the game was terrible (not that he had a chance against Hill anyways) but then straight held their backup TE (who still caught the ball) on the very next series pretty much sums him up this season.

Why they put Joseph on the fastest receiver in the league is beyond me. But that was NOT a catch

Serious question, how do you tear your pec major muscle if you aren't on steroids? Seems like such a fluke injury that should never happen.

Mario Williams did it 2011 vs Raiders. Oddly I was at both games.

Just because a guy is built and tears his pec muscle, doesn't mean he is on roids. As soon as he went down pointing at his chest, I knew immediately what he did. It is an injury that can happen when using force to push forward then your arm is pulled away or pulled out by the guy you are blocking. I wouldn't say it is a common injury, but it isn't uncommon either.
