Think we actually need to put McKinney and Clowney outside and have Cole and Cunningham in the middle in our base D
He's a decent pass rusher on stunts, he has the most size, it gets out best coverage linebackers in the middle and he can set an edge. He would be more of a Brooks Reed, Connor Barwin type role there and clowney would do most of the pass rushing aspects
Scarlett isn't ready to be an every down player, he's solid as a sub. Clowney, Cunningham, Cole, McKinney would be best line up in base D in my opinion. We're not going to get a good pass rush with two of our best rushers on the shelf, we need coverage ability and play more of an old Romeo type 3-4
It really is ironic that as we finally get our franchise QB we lose two of our stud defenders. Funny how these things seem to happen. I remember in the not too distant past it was our offense that seemed horrific and that's when stars like Arian Foster and DeAndre Hopkins emerged. Let's hope we have some guys emerge on defense now.
If you payed attention, when I talked about his accurately I pointed out that he had bad footwork that was costing him. I've since pointed out how he's miraculously fixed those issues WAY quicker than should have been possible. It has been really amazing actually.
