the last 2 touchdowns were padding, but he got them back into the game after halftime. the defense crapped the bed and special teams gave up a touchdown.
Imagine if Jacksonville traded up to get Watson along with having Fournette already. They'd be runaway AFC South champions and perhaps legit contenders this year.
It was a six point game with plenty of time in the fourth. The difference between padded stats and amazing second half is the defense / special teams getting some stops.
Even if you take away the last two TDs, your rookie quarterback threw 3 touchdowns and no picks. You should be able to win every game if that happens. Yes they were stat padding but it shouldn’t discount what Watson has done. We all went into this season thinking how we were even going to score more than 10 points per game.
this is an amazing stat usually qbs who lead in this stat win the mvp award... coming into week 5 watson ranked 2nd in the NFL in EPA behind tom brady, expect those numbers to shoot up even more
Watson was able to avoid the sack and somehow managed to plant his feet and throw a 50yd bomb on the money to Fuller for a TD He's the guy.
He's so good that despite our injured and inexperienced defense I still think we win the AFC South. Outside of KC the AFC is wide open including our division but already Watson is the best QB in the AFC South so I like our chances.
Just want to remind everyone that we would be in first place right now if not for Harvey and Savage. That's how good Watson has been and I have no doubts that he is special and will lead this team to special achievements.
Watson is a beast man. I was at the game and hes a joy to watch. this guy is putting 30 + a game.. Hes throwing TD passes left and right. Hes only 21-22 years old. I know for a fact we have our QB of the future. Now that we have a QB- we need to get better personal. Offensine line to start with. the future is going to be great
