This a terrible exhibition game, The Shanghai Sharks should play a college team.
The Rockets, if they really played hard, would have dropped 200 points on them.

We must be setting three point make records by now :)

Our offense will be off the charts, especially once the mid range game is used again. This is the only thing holding us back and years down the line I’m guessing even Morey and MDA will have to admit that ignoring a part of the game especially for your two best players who thrive there was crucial in their failure to get the best out of this team.

First of all mid range is just the worst shot in basketball. There is no sense to taking it for "variety" because mid range shots are easily accessible to every spot in the floor, what that means is if you are taking a mid range shot and get covered, then when you pass it to another guy who is open your defender can easily scramble to the open guy while another defender starts marking you. Compare that to someone who only takes 3 pts or in the paint, the mid range has nobody there so when you pass to an open guy defenders need to run the length of the court to defend. That is why our offense is top notch, and that is why we had one of the top offense in the league last year despite only Harden and Gordon being good offensive players.

The reality is having no mid range shots help our offense, taking mid range shots hurt our offense.

Fair points, but you saw the Spurs series and when teams take away our 3pt shot..there’s no logic to completely abandon the mid-range. Harden and CP3 are deadly from there and when they are a threat from there it opens up the long range even more!

The one guy I am totally hyped about is Luc MM. He is looking way too good to be had at vet min, I think if given more PR and shots he is gonna be our Ariza successor.
