Haha This won't change the truth. We know the real score. Deshaun didn't get no practice time with the ones in training camp. To be honest, he didn't look good during the 2nd and 3rd preseason games. So we were all willing to wait. After the Bengals game, didn't Deshaun say in his postgame interview the walkthroughs were his first time playing with the ones? Not drills but actual 11 on 11 offense. So OB, don't try this foolishness on us. Don't make us link all your interviews and media articles in Savage being your #1. In fact even before the Bengals game, you said you weren't decided yet. No one, not even OB, could have anticipated how fast the national champion could be this good against NFL defenses. In fact you had to rewrite your schemes to suit him because you weren't practising this stuff in the training camp.
I wonder who keeps telling the coach to keep running Lamar Miller up the middle for 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Can we leak that info too?
Remember that time the Texans lost a game because somebody supposedly leaked something to the press? Can we hurry up and go back to the days of 2-14 and no "leaks" already!
Obviously Rick Smith leaked that OB wanted to start Watson, and have everyone call out OB for bs... to detract the hot topic a couple of weeks ago of Rick Smith's mid round draft blunders. The man is brilliant.
The void was filled by tons of positive posts and callout posts (on posters like myself). Then this distraction came out....kinda like before last year'sp layoffs
I know schaub deserved loyalty but can we go back to the 2-14 season when the quarterback position was so set the starter could break the pick six record.
There are reports contradicting BoB. Whether true or not, its difficult to see his returning next season if everyone's credibility is being challenged. Rick will win that war.
If Deshaun Watson shows improvement as season wares on and Texans improve he isn't going anywhere. You don't change offensive schemes two years in a row. Have to stay together for the kids. I understand some of you want him gone, but the Texans would make a huge mistake letting O'Brien go. Remember what Kubiak did.
The difference of course being that Kubiak was always a good offensive coach and we've yet to see O'Brien do anything well other than bring along RAC.
I'd be fine with him walking, he hasn't shown that he's a good coach so if he walked, it would just open up an opportunity to correct a mistake.
If you don't think he's shown to be a good coach then there's nothing really to talk about. I think you may not necessarily know what good coaching is.
He came in as an offensive guru and proceeded to make the offense worse every season he's been here. Sure it looks to be better this season, but that doesn't excuse his history of failure.
History of failure? 2-14 to 9-7, playoffs, second round,.......(currently 5th in offense and number one since starting Deshaun) I don't believe you.
LOL yes, let's give him credit for what RAC's defense accomplished while BOB was making the offense worse and worse every single year.....
