and average joes are the ones who have limited knowledge so why should their opinions matter when discussing the impact of a football player that goes far beyond the numbers?

Watt had 6 tackles (3 TFL) and would have had a sack if the ref reviewing Brady's flip to Gronk would have pulled his head out of his ass and got the call correct.

    And BTW,

This Team now has chance to win games because they have a real QB.

That last int for Watson is Hail Mary and went almost 70 yards!

But they need a OC and 'that's on me guy' doesn't cut it.

He should fire himself as OC this week and hire some help.

That touch down in red zone stuff, you think!

And need to demote Miller now! Not his fault, just the other guy is better.

Whether Brady needed a FG, or a TD, or TD and a 2 point conversion...Brady is going to get it done. You gotta go for the knockout against Brady.

more than pissed at this lost though I did say we should just take cheap shots late hits on the qb 42 times, the league would love us. The reason is because it's exactly, slight variation, of the cowboys game in 2014. You had 3rd and short with Foster gashing the cowboys in overtime and you put fitzie in spread with no back, no threat of arian in the running game. It's stupid stuff like this. F' the patriots.

    I miss bouye.

But the Patriots hadn't been able to stop the run. Especially the QB sneak. Kicking the FG gave arguably the best QB of all time too much time to drive down the field to win it. Especially with the performance of the secondary, I definitely wouldn't have settled for a FG.

I think most are more upset with the consistent terrible calls on 3rd and 1. No creativity when you clearly have a player that allows it. Instead, BoB continues to call runs up the gut with a RB who is not meant for it. He's too predictable in those situations.

The call to go for FG is understandable, but I think folks wanted to see BoB take a shot at ending the game at that moment instead of giving a HoF QB with a penchant for last minute comebacks the ball back with 2 plus minutes...oh, and against a Defense that featured DBs who were already burned several times in the game. So...not hard to see why there was criticism.

Even though Bill hurt us, if that safety just catches that GIMME Interception we win.

not the kick but the 3rd and 1. you get the first down and you get another set of downs with the 2 minute warning right up.
Don't know what about NE makes opposing coaches go brain dead, all of sudden you want to pass on 3rd down with less than a foot into the endzone with lynch in his prime. All of the sudden you're up 30 pts gashing them on the ground and then say, hmm what if I abandon the run and pass pass pass stopping the clock for the patriots.

I'm fine with kicking the FG on 4th and 1. The problem was running Lamar Miller on 3rd and 1. Live and die with Watson, keep the ball in his hands. But if you absolutely have to give it to a RB, Foreman should have been the guy to get it.

The silver lining is that Watson showed he's going to be a top 5 QB with that IT factor. First time that we finally have a championship QB in Houston since Warren Moon.

Deshaun has to make that throw to Andersen for the TD. That’s the play that would’ve sealed it.

It's on me the coach, but that's not gonna stop me from running miller down the middle next game. This ng head coach pisses me off. I don't want your dam apology, just act like a competent coach.

But, that wouldn’t have even been the knockout.

Even with a conversion there... I highly doubt they risk Watson throwing an interception by passing a lot... and as it is, they were going to run clock.

So, lets just presume the most likely scenario happens and they run the ball 3 times, Pats use timeouts (2 min warning), they kick a FG, and Pats get the ball at their 25 with about a minute left.

That’s what ended up happening anyways... defense would have still had to stop them. Still had to hang on to INT’s. Still had to try and cover WR’s.

The only true “knockout” would have been not just converting the 3rd and 1... but never kicking a FG in any circumstance...

I don't even think that you overrated him just now. I know some people in here need to come get that crow.

    Sad.

We miss our game-winning INT, then Watson gets an extra one for his career stats from a Hail Mary.

That and the GIMME interception we gave them. If neither of those plays happened, we won.
