    Because you know Morey.

Morey isn't going to twiddle his thumbs and go aww shucks, he's already thinking of a way to bring another star or key player to this team.

We also still have two top 10 players on the team.

It's the equivalent of us trading Brewer and Ryan Anderson for Chris Paul and Melo.

Trading two players who at best were neutral and at worst hurt us for two stars.

I am so pissed right now. OKC is the 2nd best in the West when they shouldn't be. Indiana and New York have acted in nothing short of malpractice, both with the same team.

Seems like a fitting Rockets story. Go into the season as now 'underdogs' and batten down the hatches with gun slinger Fly Ry Anderson and **** some **** up! Now that this melo **** over I remember how he was an afterthought once FA began.

We have no way of obtaining another star. I thought we were #2 in the West. This clearly put OKC ahead of us now. Going to be a tough to make it to the WCF

Carmelo Anthony doesn't really make OKC much better. He is a terrible fit with Westbrook. They are slightly better.

Most of their improvement was made with George and Patterson added and hopeful growth from Adams.

If Daryl Morey really believed that Anthony was very good, he would have increased his offer to include draft picks or Ariza or Gordon. He didn't and wouldn't. That tells you how good the Rockets think Anthony is.

Therefore he should have included capela / Ariza / Gordon for the trade. I see

Knicks could have taken Anderson, plus and a 2nd for Melo but decided against it just because he wanted to be a Rocket. Melo honestly couldn't start the year there, he had been through too much trust me.

Knicks fans are not happy about this lol. I sort of understand why the Pacers did what they did now, it was personal, they sent a big FU to the Pacers and Celtics and for the GM it had to at least feel good.

I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere down the line Morey did his best to screw the Knicks somehow, helping some other team snag a player they are after or something.

Because it isn't as bad as everyone is saying.

Anthony is 33 years old and isn't likely to opt out of $25,000,000 in 2018.

Anthony is not especially a good fit with Westbrook and Anderson is likely to play better with Paul.

Ariza is overrated and he's easily replaceable, besides Knicks don't want him, they're in a youth rebuild.

Either Capela or Gordon would've been fine. I like Capela but I would have traded him for melo.

Warriors have proven that you don't need a good center if you have a super team.

    That's absurd.

A 33 year old Carmelo Anthony doesn't change much one way or the other.
