    We got this, Melo might still be on his way.... Lets enjoy Paul and Harden breaking ankles..... Oh and Harden, he is the reason we are considered one of the top teams... Harden+Paul is the reason Melo wants Houston so bad....

    That pick's unprotected and likely top-5. They'll need it to either rebuild post-LeBron or to pry away an expiring superstar (PG, Cuz) at the deadline in an effort to make a run, one that they hope will help them resign both LeBron and said superstar.

    Makes it sound like Melo gave them teams that he knew there would be no chance of a deal working out so he could say "hey I expanded my list, it was you jokers that couldn't make it happen."

    They think? Why wouldn't they know if he'd waive it if Melo has given them an expanded list?

    Just to recap. The deal was done & sent to the league offices in July. Perry came in & mysteriously scrapped the deal (imo under the instruction of the nba). The media/nba needs Lebron back in the finals again, and thats at the expense of the Rockets. The nba doesnt want us possibly knocking off GS. Say hello to another scripted Cavs/GS finals

    Agree. As I said in another thread--starting to feel a bit like the Verlander trade spiral. Knicks trying some amateur gamesmanship to try and make Morey flinch.
