I am almost as excited to see PJ Tucker and Trevor Ariza locking down wings (like Ron Artest and Shane Battier of old) as I am to see Chris Paul. That said, when I look up and down our roster and see one of the most prolific scorers in Summer League, a guy that appears to have one of the most revved motors ever, I get a little excited, @penisclubber. Dude is 22 years old, 6-7 and he jumps like David Thompson. Someone, for the love of god, tell me, What do we have (or not have) here? Is he Rodrick Rhodes? Corey Brewer? Something more? His contract is Dork Elvis beautiful, btw. Three years for dirt...
An additional a lob threat on the wing. He will be amazing in transition. If the three ball comes around or even just continues at the rate he was shooting in preseason then he will be a contributor on many nights.
His ceiling is Corey Brewer unless his shot improves. I hope it does, but he's just a prospect with upside.
his shot is already been better than brewer. The rockets loaded on depth for a reason and hes that added wing depth.
right now his game is all out frenetic, all the time. on defense that's great, but on offense i think he needs to choose his spots on when to go trampoline and just exert more control and restraint otherwise. he can start by getting his feet properly set and arms squared up on those 3's. with the open shots he's going to get he could easily shoot 38% from the arc if he just makes a concerted effort to shoot the same exact way every time. he also needs to open up his tunnel vision and spot the open man when driving the lane
I definitely think he could improve his shot selection. He needs to learn as much as he can from PJ and Trev... Perfect situation for him.
ya and best thing is he's a willing learner. he just needs the game to slow down for him mentally, because otherwise he has good instincts, passing skills, bball IQ. i was really impressed with his postgame interview after one of the summer league games.
His name will be mentioned on every page of the game thread as the solution to all problems whenever we're losing a game.
