Well, the big issue on the Jags is Bortles. I'm not convinced still they will be better than us for sure, but if Bortles can be a non-disaster then I think they will be. We can't keep getting by with only one side of the ball being worth a damn and it's even worse when you have an offensive coordinator as your head coach. Now the risk is that if you get any fall off from the defense you are a bad football team. I mean ANY fall off. Have to hope this was a fluke game.
Did you hear him say that AGAIN on Monday? "We've made a lot of good decisions Brian. Playoffs two years in a row." Couldn't believe it.
Yeah, the patriots got whooped. The defending champs lol... I've been questioning OL decisions for a while now. Mancz definitely deserves a spot.
9-7's not the bar. But....that's been my coaching record 27-21 in 3 years. But 9-7 isn't the bar. We've won the AFC South 2 years in a row. But that's on me. I've got to do better.
Random thoughts: 1. As bad as the Texans looked on Sunday, I don't think they are "that" bad. We will find out soon enough. 2. The Jags are not the same ole Jags. They have had multiple great drafts and are obviously much improved. 3. The Jags were on fire, played with an attitude, and MUCH more physical. 4. Watson is not ready on many different levels; however, if you know anything about his history, he can be magical. He is also much more difficult to defend than Savage. Savage has "back up" written all over him. Nice guy, but has the charisma of a commode float. 5. Playing Foreman only one down was just plain stupid. This guy is every bit the "horse" that Fornette is. 6. The Defense concerns me the most, but they stunk at the beginning of last season. We will see how good our wonder boy defensive coordinator really is. 7. We really seem to like beating up on the Bengals, so if we lose to them, the Texans are likely in real trouble.
The Texans are about to be tied for the division lead and everyone is excited again. Long way from how a week ago. Reason #52 why you don't overreact after a game. Win or lose.
Are they? New England will piss in the cheerios and everyone will be angry again next week. Can you believe Bortles looked like a good NFL QB last week & the Texans only scored 7 points? Titans scored 37 and Bortles back to being Bortles.
I think Harvey and all that travel causes are team to be flat. Jags defense has given up. They made Mariota look really bad. New England got their offense warmed up against Nola.
who comes up with these schedules. why can't we play NE on the last game of the season. Have our faithful turf monster take out one of their teleporting white munchkin 1000 yard brady receivers.
We went from new threads of a meltdown to "Dashawn Da Great!" Things definitely are a little more optimistic than last week but you're probably right about next week. I just wish people would be more level headed and not go crazy over one game. Inspite of last week, this team is still average to slightly above average
