Guessing Castor is still busy with his house, etc... All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PBP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on AT&T Sports SW unless otherwise noted. 9/12 Verlander, RHP vs. Richards, RHP 9:05 pm 9/13 McCullers Jr., RHP vs Skaggs, LHP 9:05 pm 9/14 Peacock, RHP vs. Nolasco, RHP 9:05 pm (MLBN out of market only)
C'mon, 'Stros. Time to build some momentum in these last 19 games. Interesting website to compare pre- and post-All Star Game performances and other things: https://www.espn.com/mlb/stats/team/_/stat/batting
My opinion is that Verlander goes out and does his job and the team follows. I think he ignites a new streak. At least I hope...after what had to be one of the worst regular season weekends in Houston sports history (Astros 0-4, Texans embarrassed, Dynamo lose at home to worst team in MLS), all I can do is hope.
Is Verlander basically a lock Sunday vs the Mariners? Anyone see any realistic, non-injury-related scenario where that's not the case?
Unfortunately I can't stay up for these west coast games anymore. Hoping I can wake up each morning to good news.
Do you go to bed just after making sure all of the kids are off your lawn? Or is it after the 4pm dinner at Luby's?
They need to mix it up. The offense has been overall in a funk and sometimes it is good to move people around after a really bad series. Only change I would make would be at DH. I would go with White or Davis.
I don't disagree. Just seemed strange. They typically like having speed at 9. McCann is the opposite of speed. I'd have Bregman at 5 and Gurriel ahead of Beltran.
