No big shockers with the Apple TV, bust as expected 4K and HDR is enough for me to upgrade. Glad that I'll no longer have to use the built it Netflix app on my TV to get 4K, Dolby Vision, etc.
Wow, iphone X is so lame. It's not very attractive either. I guess my wife will probably switch back to Samsung especially for the price of an Iphone. Edit: Best feature introduced so far is the animated emoji feature.
they just showed video and photos and it wraps around the notch. That's so hideous! the face ID didn't work on the first try hahaha. I do want to play around the dot projector for facial animation.
you just said it. 4k @ 60 was rumored up to this point. as was oled, qi, full screen display. hence me saying that they were playing catch-up hardware-wise up to this point. i still stand by my statement saying that the touch id loss is a step backward. the two step unlock is a minor inconvenience, but it's still an inconvenience. will say now that everything has been revealed... this is better than any hardware that android has out now. they combined the best things in hardware from every android phone and put it into one complete package. software? both ecosystems do some things differently and better. yeah... that was really bad. should have taken a note from essential and blacked out the display around the sensors. the thing what that however is that you risk burn-in and screen degradation, which is why in this instance a 2k lcd would have been better.
I wouldn't say better. The hardware is comparable to the samsung galaxy s8/Note. The screen on the samsung is probably still better since Samsung owns screen tech. The non X version looks pretty dated compared to modern android phone with true edge to edge displays.
For some reason the X seems like they are too many awkward changes. I want a home button. Driving with the X seems even less safe now.
So whats the difference between the 8 and the X? Just face recognition and no home button? Sorry if these questions are stupid, I am at work and haven't done any research yet.
Not if you have an Apple watch, it can save you... If you have an accident (God forbid, but the ad was a bit much).
While the iPhone 8 is quite similar to the iPhone 7, it changes things up witha glass back and wireless charging, plus other technical upgrades. The iPhone X, meanwhile, stands out for its Face ID unlocking technology, edge-to-edge OLED screen and $999 price tag.
