    They need to hurry this up, why do they want Ariza, Morey just need to throw some 2nd rounders at them and shut them up.

    Naturally I get criticism. I admit to being harsh. But "I have terrible logic"? Just doesn't seem the right time to roll out the "Welcome to Houston, Melo" red carpet while the city was just jack-slapped by an historic storm.

    Give it a couple weeks, hunh?

    the knicks have no real reason to rush. I'm sure they sat melo down and told him "sure we'll move you there, we're just going to take our time until we fight a deal we're happy with, but we won't jump on the first offer"

    so im sure the knicks are gonna drag it out until right before the season starts if they have to. then if they can't get anything better they'll budge. But from a knicks standpoint, i completely understand why they wouldnt be in a rush. As a rockets fan, as long as it gets done, i could care less if it gets done a day before the first game. Just get it done.

    What happened in Houston really sucks, and it has affected me personally. The trade can be completed now and the welcome day event could simply take place at a later time.

    Rockets have apparently been wanting to get this done for a while now so if they have a deal the Knicks would agree to go ahead and get it done. Don't want to chance the Knicks changing their minds and now you're in a staring contest again.

    The one thing we learned from the Verlander deal is the trade happened just minutes away from the trade deadline. Like Morey said, teams don't want to do deals until they actually are forced to. Things don't get done without deadline, so what is the deadline for the Knicks. Training camp? Start of the season? or the actual trading deadline?

    Verlander is reported to have waited out until 1 minute remaining for hope to join the Cubs instead. I think we can assume the Knicks will do the same, hold Melo until last second before the training camp for any good offers.
