So, I guess IT's hip is OK? The hip injury destroyed Jonny Flynn's career and can derail IT's since he really needs his quickness and explosiveness. Can't imagine Cleveland's doctors not scrutinizing the hell out of IT's medical records.
Woj: Boston & Cleveland are getting close. Irving to Boston, IT to Cleveland. Sides believe the deal is close. They are on the phone as we speak. Boston is trying to keep Jayson Tatum out of this deal.
it's clear u didn't watch or pay attention to what IT was doing last season...saying that he's not a starter is just ridiculous, and no, most teams don't have a PG as good as he is...IT was easily a top 20 player last year...
They better scrutinize the hell out that hip! Brad Stevens revealed during a recent interview that the Celtics won't have an official timetable for Isaiah Thomas (hip) until he undergoes another scan in early-September. "He has another follow-up and another scan in the early part of September," said Stevens of Thomas. "Obviously, it’s been a lot of appropriate rest, a lot of rehab. There have been some good strides here certainly in the last month or few weeks, but we’re not going to know that until after that early September timeframe." Thomas opted to let the labral tear in his right hip heal naturally, which has involved a fairly lengthy recovery period, but most reports up to this point have indicated that he'll be ready for camp
Woj: Boston & Cleveland are in advanced talks that would send Kyrie to Boston. IT would be involved in any configuration of this trade. They're working out the pieces to round out a deal. Both sides have confidence a deal is in sight here. They're working out potential picks. Boston wants to keep Tatum out of any deal. Cleveland has coveted him. Ante Zicic has been discussed. Sides are talking as we speak. Players, both Kyrie & IT, are both prepared for the possibility this deal goes through. They've gone back & forth on this. Cleveland, in any deal, wants a really good young player or picks, with the potential of LeBron leaving. They want young assets. IT can help in the here & now. He'll be a free agent next year. Also potential high pick is appealing to the Cavs. They haven't had a great market for Irving. Struck out with teams in the West who haven't been able to offer packages. They've been focused on trying to get Boston fully engaged here.
imagine kyrie traded to boston and beat lebrick this coming season which would trigger lebrick leave for houston the year after! kinda long stretch...
Goodbye LeBron! If they don't get the Nets or Tatum they are stupid to do this trade and it looks like it's just to be saving money.
Try watching his games instead of looking at his stats. He's short and a liability on defense. You will never win a championship if Thomas is your best player. Good point guards are a dime a dozen in the NBA. He's just another good point guard.
We're talking about Danny Ainge, not Vlade Divac or Kevin Pritchard. IT, Crowder and Zizic is probably the best they can get from Boston.
