No MVP. But you're telling me this guy doesn't deserve a roster spot? You don't think Josh Smith is capable of being a backup 4-5 in a limited role? As many scrubs that are in the NBA
apparently the entire league doesn't think so either and as many scrubs there are in the nba, that says alot about JS when he isn't even in it at the moment for going over a year now.
I would want him, but only if he played center. MDA would tell him to shoot lots of 3s if he played the 4 and he wouldn't be effective enough to warrant that. However, at center, he could run the pick and roll and avoid the perimeter. Backup center... sure Backup PF... meh
And another, he is a beast in post season. Epitome of Clutch. And Imagine him setting up Capela (or Nerlens) for easy dunks.
Josh Smith is going to Charlotte to be close to his best friend / school friend Dwight. -- Pancakes (Sources)
Smooth was the reason in game 6 no doubt , but next day when you turn ESPN and it's like ER ,all of a sudden they realize H-Town is in a game, that was PRICLESS. Too bad we only made to WCF!
Man that was fun to watch... Regardless of what happened the next year that was a pretty damn good team and I will always have fond memories of that playoff run with Dwight, Brewer and JSmoove. Just wish Dwight could have been content with playing like he did in that clip, just dunking everything as soon as help comes.
Why don't you get Jordan or Kobe? They are more clutch than Josh Smith. Wtf posting past highlights does nothing each player doesn't stay the same every year they either get better or get worse. In Smith's case that season he blew up was years ago and the Rox did give him a chance after that year but he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn! I expect that he is even worse now there's a reason he is out of the league.
when did they give him another chance? just curious...i thought he signed with clippers the next year, cuz we lowballed him.
He did and ironically the Clippers traded him back to us mid season. He had a good first game with us but after that he started playing bad
i think him and paul need to run the pick and roll 2 feet inside the 3 point line, since paul likes the midrange. that way he can shoot more mid range or post up instead of shooting 3s...
Technically he didn't play bad, he just couldn't hit anything and missed all his shots. Apart from that he still rebounded, defended and passed his normal rate. JB isn't the reason why he missed all his open 3s lol.
