I just don't understand how someone could actually watch basketball and think this is even a question. Most didn't even think Kobe was better than Lebron when the NBA was paying millions to make gullible fans feel like they were witnessing something that wasn't a chuckfest.
Again, you dont win 5 rings having a "chuckfest". Especially in a harder conference with a less talented overrall roster. Lebron needed 3 superstars on every championship team he was on. Kobe did more with less against better competition
Then what are you arguing here, that the Lakers didn't win 5 championships? I mean everyone knows that Kobe was an awful chucker his whole career, that part isn't in question.
I think kobe is an amazing player, prolly top 10-15 all time. I dont think hes a crappy chucker or disrespect him like bobby but lebron is on a whole nother level than kobe. This argument here about kobe doing more with less is completely asinine. Shaq was far and away the best player for 3 of those rings. The gap between shaq and kobe at that point was HUGE. Who got the 3 finals mvps at that time? Do you remember how dominant shaq was? As to kobe defeating better competition, did kobe ever beat a 73 win team?
Lol@Kobe doing more with less Lebron reached the Finals on his own what did Kobe ever do on his own? You think Lebron won't win 5 rings playing alongside Shaq or Bynum/Gasol/Odom? Lebron has more stats and MVPs than Kobe he also plays better defense and is a better playmaker, 3 pt shooter and leader. People who say Kobe was better than Lebron or Tim Duncan just don't understand bball, period.
If i was a gm who already had a star wing under contract and could choose between pairing him with prime shaq or a past his prime d-wade plus a soft chris bosh then im taking shaq all day every day. Same goes with cleveland. Would you trade kyrie + k love for shaq? The answer is pretty obvious. Shaq was no. 1 of the entire nba at that time.
Yeah of course not Shaq is one of the greatest players of all time....and considerably closer to the top of that list than Kobe.
Sure you do, when you are being led by the games best big 3 of those times and have the leagues best frontcourt the other 2. That's actually the perfect thing for a chucker to have. Not with less against greater competition. That's funny. Everytime Kobe won he had the best team in basketball. And he never beat a team as good as GS.
Kobe never made it out of the first round without elite bigs cleaning up all of his bricks. Lakers were first round and done in the years after Shaq left, then Gasol and Bynum came along and the Lakers were suddenly the best team in the NBA again. Lebrons best teammates until he went to Miami were Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao, lol. I've never been a big Lebron fan but he's done more with less than Kobe ever did. Let's also not forget that one of Kobe's most talented teammates was Joey Crawford, the miracle whistler.
I don't have the time or patience to teach you basically everything there is to know about basketball.....but if you knew any of it, you'd know that Chris Paul is easily a top 10 PG of all time and there's a solid case for him being a top 5 PG of all time. You basically have Magic, Stockton, Isaiah Thomas, Oscar Robertson, and CP3. BTW, every player I just listed was a better player than Kobe.
You mean aside from becoming one of the greatest PG's and players to ever play the game? Other than that, nothing. Honestly kid, one of these days you are going to grow up and learn the difference between individual accomplishment and team accomplishment.
So what your saying is that Chris Paul is an all time great due to his stats , because he obviously hasn't won anything . He is top 10 all time in Assists though all give you that .......right behind Andre Miller . So is Andre an all time great too or is you argument garbage?
