Sampson's shot was the best, but Mario's shot was more important as it led us to an NBA championship.
I have to agree. Sampson's The Shot eliminated the defending champion Showtime Lakers in the '86 WC Finals, a stunning upset, and for degree of difficulty, there is no comparison. Ralph's game winning, series ending bucket is the most amazing shot I've ever witnessed. Having said that, Mario's game winning, series ending shot made a championship possible. His iconic Kiss of Death is, like those who saw The Shot, unforgettable. One shot gave us the Finals. The other gave us, ultimately, a championship. Mario wins, in my opinion.
Either the Olajuwon tip-in or the Kenny 3 for OT: This game was so demoralizing to the Magic that it basically ended the series in 1.
Wanted to add that I consider Sampson's shot the "best" shot, but Mario's was ultimately more important, so I'm giving my vote to him.
Sampson's shot beat an epic Lakers team.... It was an incredible shot.... gotta give the edge to Ralph... but Mario's was just as sweet...
