So much for stretching the field on offense.

Jimmy Raye has already been churning the bottom of the roster with WR retreads he churned up in Indy, so we were already WR needy.

This is a huge blow. Going to have to scrap a lot of plays, get inventive again due to our shallow roster.

DeAndrew White is supposed to have terrific speed. He's no lock to make the team, but he could help provide a down the field threat while Fuller is out.

Collarbone is usually 6-8 weeks. That would technically put Fuller back around week 2-3. I say he misses 3-4 games. Not a catastrophe, but definitely annoying.

Will this make his little Trump hands bigger?

Yeah he was always a burner at Alabama but he wasn't used much. Not sure about the rest of his skills, but you can't teach speed.

I also really liked Wendell Williams. He showed he has more than just speed to offer last year with a few nice catches.

    Hopefully someone will step up.

Idk about Wendall. I mean he has speed but he has only one memorable moment and it was that catch against Jacksonville (?) He really hasn't shown much imo but I could be wrong. Hope I am

Damnit. I really had a good feeling and high hopes for Will this year. It does open the doors for some intriguing guys like Mccarron, Wendall and White. Boldin is about the only FA worth a damn available at Wr, I say just roll with the youngsters and hope someone separates themselves. Here's to a speedy recovery

Strong is the number 2 wr regardless of what Fuller did this year, so Miller and White will have more responsibility plus whoever else makes an impact

I have had mixed feelings about Fuller from the beginning. Love his speed, but a receiver that regularly drops balls is a misnomer. Receivers are supposed to be really good at catching passes. His "slight" build was another issue. I would like to see one of the other receivers shine and maybe even take his place. Fuller seems like a nice kid, but that is not the issue.

In some ways it'll mean that we're less likely to see a deep pass bounce off the hands of a receiver that should have been an easy TD in the first couple games of the season with Fuller out. I still don't have any faith in his catching ability....just the same it sucks to hear he's hurt.

Really? It looked like Fuller was #2 last year when both were healthy.

Without knowing the exact facts behind the fracture and repair, we are left only with the reasonable possibilities of return anywhere from 6 weeks to 12 weeks

Yes, I think Williams will get a shot. He can stretch the field.

While I was at a lunch with a referral source, my older son sent me a text with a screenshot of this news from Twitter.

While walking back to my car, I texted him back, "Look on the brightside. Just think how many passes he won't drop while he's injured."

For the love of Fock! At least it wasn't a leg/knee/foot injury... Hello Strong.

Hopefully he heals as fast as he runs...

    :rimshot:

Not riding the fuller hype train. If we are to throw injury prone in with inconsistent routes, one trick pony and bad hands it's gonna start being a very questionable 1st round selection.

More excited to see Braxton miller anyway. Strong? Someone has to step up. Maybe Hopkins will just catch 160 balls this year....
