You know what i used to love and would work if the new owner also didnt like red with yellow/gold as a combination? The practice jerseys the team used during the championship run. They were just plain white for home and red for away. Minmalist version of our uniforms, basically everything minus the yellow and white/red strips on the neck and arm and shorts sleeves. The Rockets wordmark on a different spot on the shorts But, of course im perfectly happy in just using the same exact championship uniforms in the Nike template with updated letter and number fonts.
These are simply the best ones I've seen yet! The only thing I would change is: 1. Replace with the current "R" logo on the shorts and at the waist-line. 2. Make the letters (Houston/Rockets/Clutch City) smaller. 3. Have more separation between the letters and numbers by moving the numbers down. 4. Scrap the blue unis, and/or swap them out with the grey checkboards uniforms. Let's go to war!!

I like it as well. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. I hadn't considered that colour combo for this collection as my main goal was to try to get each of the Houston Rockets jerseys represented and I'm trying to squeeze it into the Nike four-jersey approach. I agree that it could look pretty cool as an alt. Maybe down the road I'll tackle it. I thought I was done with Rockets concepts until I felt like doing this one.
Are you up for ideas? I request one with the now rockets font? Get rid of half his body.... Maybe blend him in with the flame? Very dope colors
This is too awesome to be real. I wish teams didn't play it safe with uniforms so often. This would be the coolest logo in the league. Best thing about it? It doesn't have a hidden basketball in the design like 90 percent of the league.

Always wondered why more people didn't use the original HOUSTON(not san diego) Rockets logo for concepts. The astronaut. Would make a great alternate especially in a retro way like the Sixers did with Ben Franklin dribbling a basketball. Love that logo. Incorporating it into the primary logo is genius though.
it's probably too detailed compared to other logos. Hard to put on merch in the detail it needs..or at least that's what i think is the issue with detailed logos.
The astros colors would be very similar to the Warriors late 90s, early to mid 2k colors. These concepts by BerlinWall over on sportslogos.net are some of my favorites with that color scheme if someone wants to turn them into Houston Rockets concepts:
