Caricature, never contemplate suicide. It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem. You are only suffering from this affliction for now. Someday, several years from now, it will hit you and you'll probably want to seek therapy. None of what we say is nonsense. Trump is that bad. Even conservatives know it to be true. That's OK, you'll realize it after it's all been said and done.

BTW, when Trump resigns in 2019, and you come up with your bullshit excuse of "they never gave him a chance," "the Establishment ran him out," "the media did him in," realize that Trump has been like this since way before he decided to run for President. New Yorkers know- it's no secret. He's always been a first-class egomaniac - you just hoped he would change even a little bit once he became President, but alas that didn't happen.

    God bless you.

The local council here for Southern Minnesota went a lot further than the national press release from BSA. Granted the base of the council is the Twin Cities which isn't exactly Trump country but it was good to see them come out pretty clearly against the Trump speech.

?. All I've found is a bland statement that they don't endorse political opinions and have always invited the sitting president to the jamboree.

Is there more than that? Not what we can call an apology for the youth indoctrination rally we saw Two Scoops launch.

They can't tell him he can't speak, and how can they tell him that what he said should not have been said. He IS the President and all. Really bad situation for them, not of their making.

He shouldn't have even been invited. He's the opposite of what the Boy Scouts represent, as pointed out by @juicystream.

Agree with you and also with Buck though. It's a terrible no win situation for them.
Imagine if they made a republican the first president to NOT be invited to speak at the jamboree -- OMG, Fox News would have exploded along with 1/3 of the country.

Meanwhile, he is kind of "Cheerful" when he has his 2nd scoop of ice cream, or when he's insulting Obama, or when he's insulting liberals, or when he's insulting former supporters who helped him get elected but now don't follow orders perfectly, or ...

Sort of reminds me in an ironic way how wingnut parents and districts responded when Obama wanted to give a speech to America's school children on the importance of education. They threw a clusterfit about Obama trying to "indoctrinate" their kids. From day one, Trump has had no qualms being the guy wingnuts suspected of Obama when in reality Obama has more class and respect for his country than Trump could ever hope or even care to have. Just sickening.

The President historically has an open invitation to talk to the kids.

eta: because he is the POTUS and his decorum has never been an issue before. Because he is the POTUS.

The boy scouts are a very conservative organization

Saying THEY should play politics and not invite a President YOU dont like is just stupid regardless of their politics

Exactly. Having the president of the United States speak directly to you should be the opportunity of a lifetime for children. Something that they could be proud of and remember all of their lives.

This was true before The Mistake.

When long-time staunch Republicans are saying it's that bad...it's that bad.

You and mr legenD act like this is only the liberals. wake-up, your own party is disturbed by this man.
