A very good player who can shoot the three and play defense. However, we need to strength the 4 and the 5, which we have yet to do.
No one can really replace Bev but Tucker has that chip on his shoulder and is bigger stronger than Bev.
Pj adds a different intensity on defense. they're definitely similiar though as far as both are the types you hate to see on defense as neither backs down. the effort will always be there. a good thing about pj is he has the size to give you more options on what you can do on the defensive side
We snagged Chris Paul, Luc Picard and Tarik Black. All excellent signings, but I am so freaking excited to have PJ Tucker on this team. For any of you guys that haven't watched much PJ Tucker, get ready for a mixing of Ron Artest & Chuck Hayes. He is a complete monster on the floor and an insanely positive force in the locker room. With CP3, Ariza, Picard, Tucker & Nene, we finally have some mean, son of a b**** knife-fighters on this team to go to war with. (And they are all going to groom Clint Capela into a ferocious beast)
i would hope alot of people saw PJ when houston played phx bc he would always be all over harden everytime. and yeah even though harden usually got the last laugh, he was still a pest and annoying
Do ya'll all feel the same way today? @ashleyem you don't count. You don't actually qualify for this but maybe @Pen15clubber can answer for you.
Good call on this being a better deal than for Iggy. Iggy has pretty similar numbers this year and I think he was going to cost double. It would be interesting to hear Morey talk about how to fill out the roster if he had made that move.
Yup, I still don't like that deal. Compare it to Luc's contract, a signing which I loved when we signed him. I consider Luc a better defender, he is younger, and on a dirt cheap contract. Also, at the time we signed Tucker, we did it after we failed on PG, who I had my eyes on. PG gave us a weapon to attack GS and a good chance to take then out because I wanted him on Durant. Tucker signing is not the same. Tucker signing in isolation is a good singing because it made us better. But with GS is mind it really does not improve us over them. I will more than gladly change my stance should we them out in playoffs.
That's a pretty late conversion. We're not likely to put them out until the WCF so you'll be late to get on the bandwagon. Do you think that'll feel a little fake if you become a fan with only 4 wins away from a championship? What if we sweep the Warriors during the regular season and keep our first seed? Would that do the trick and make you like PJ?
