Feeble attempt to somehow raise his trade value and create a bidding war between two teams with Hill Country Fare assets. They don't really want to keep him. Knicks are focused on rebuilding and Carmelo is on the wrong side of 30 but I get it. New GM wants to raise the trade value of an asset that was once their most valuable.
I can say unequivocally...Colin Cowherd said it best...If a star player wants to move, you trade him and you DONT wait for a long time.
Holding on to Melo after they just resigned a guy whos azz he threatened to kick is a option? After Phil belittled him to the media all year, you think him staying is realistic? I dont see it. Melo's going to be unhappy & probably a azzhole if he's not bought out or traded. This will not end up well if the Knicks pull that dumb crap
She says whatever MSG tells her. MSG called her on the firing of Jackson. MSG 3-4 days ago had her report that Knicks were not happy with Rockets offer. Now MSG is having her report that the Knicks want more in trade or they will mend fences with Anthony and keep him.
Knicks put themselves in this situation with "We want go young and go with Hardaway" Melo will listen but also has Harden and Paul in his head. I still believe he will in H-Town. Why in world would his agent be here in Houston.
haha just the other day they were leaking that they thought they were getting more than they expected...
I personally think that Melo has already mentally checked out of NY. HAS to have already been thinking about playing with his Banana Boat bud, CP. Also James and Bobby Brown. They are all pretty tight. I'm guessing he's ready for the change and has been looking forward to it. Wouldn't have elected to forfeit 'no trade' clause otherwise. Too much damage done to patch things up now. If he stays, he will be thinking about what 'might have been'. Curious to see how that plays out
