Lol. I know. When he ditches them for Lakers they will all be suicidal. Oklahoma really is a sad desolate place.
1PM on a Tuesday and all these people are spending the day waiting to see a man get off a plane? Do Oklahomans not have jobs?
They have to though. Him having a positive view of the city/fans could be critical for them to increase their chances of keeping him. I don't think he stays but I really respect the fan base for trying to make a difference.
The only thing to do in Hicktown USA is smoke crack and watch yourself slowly decay and rot to death. No way George stays there.
Yeah I don't get with making fun of the fans for doing all they can to field a competitive team. Do you guys root for LA and NYK? I'd rather talk to a Thunder fan than some Lakers/GSW fan.
OKC fans are more entitled than Lakers fans. Have been successful for almost the entirety of their existence. And last season when they were a trash team with nothing to play for they **** on Harden 24/7 to get their boy the MVP. The only thing OKC fans deserve is for their franchise to get ripped out of their hands and sent back to Seattle. I may be a little biased.
Harsh, but I laughed And like I said in the other PG thread, these are the same crazies that will be burning his jersey and shooting automatic weapons at it when he leaves next year.
"I grew up a Lakers and a Clippers fan. I idolized Kobe [Bryant]. There will always be a tie here, a connection here. People saying I want to come here, who doesn't want to play for their hometown? That's a dream come true, if you're a kid growing up on the outskirts of L.A., to be the man in your city. But it's definitely been overstated. For me, it's all about winning. I want to be in a good system, a good team. I want a shot to win it. I'm not a stats guy. I'm playing this game to win and build a legacy of winning. I've yet to do that. I'm searching for it. If we get a killer season in Oklahoma, we make the conference finals or upset the Warriors or do something crazy, I'd be dumb to want to leave that."
