I'm a Chinese, the exact pronunciation of Zhou Qi in mandarin should be ['dsoʊ] ['tʃi:]
So "Joe Chee" sounds pretty good.LOL

I thought it too! But he needs to be more fluid on the perimeter.....heard he played the 5 in China, so he's transitioning to the 3/4

He was a lot better than I anticipated.

But it's summer league. Chinese basketball might not be all that but it's a professional league. You could tell he was coming from that environment. He played smart and didn't try to do too many stupid things. Stayed in his lane so to speak. Which works for him.

Many Tks. Btw, ['dzoʊ] ['tʃi:] would be better.

I got the impression that he is a hard
worker. I hope he has a little bit of Yao Ming in him.

He looked a lot more fluid, athletic and aware of the game than I expected honestly. He rotated well multiple times, found the three point line quickly, had a quick release on the three and he seemed to have enough lateral quickness to move with the other players. Consider me thoroughly intrigued.

Will be interesting to watch him with RGV this year. Wonder if he might take a big step like Capela did and end up contributing at the end of the year. He definitely needs to get that 3 point shot down. The form is there, the quick release is there, just needs to get control of his aim I guess.

And that includes driving, shooting 3s and crashing the boards.

    Looked good

Right .... but more than just doing those things he was doing them in his lane.
On rebounding for example he wasn't being crazy ad getting fouls trying to grab a gazillion offensive boards.
He generally shot his threes when open and passed when not.
    Etc.

At first there was a danger of a passivity element to his game letting it come to him like that especially in summer league. But then it just played out as smart and aggressive when needed.

    I liked it.

Oh ok thanks a lot dude. It's really funny though because Joe Chee sounds like a normal American name even though the announcers were actually saying his last name first.

D-league All-star 2017-2018. He has a lot of improving he needs to do. He needs to put on some pounds and polish his jumper. He's still got a while, but he has good quickness for his height and a knack for the game. Couple years down the road, we might have a star.
