Come on, love ain't trash. He's marginalized on the Cavs, but would still be a beast when put in the right position. This is just symptom of playing with LeBron.

I realize melo is a better talent than ryno, but I'm genuinely hesitant about going for him.

Ryno was a big part of why our offense worked but he was also a big part of our chemistry. Guy does whatever he is asked by the coaching staff and he does it happily.

Melo is a ball stopper and a diva. It could work if you get the so called Olympic melo, but just remember he is the type that if things don't work out quickly he will nuke the locker room. Let's say we struggle out of the gates for some reason. Melo will start b****ing about the offense, his role, etc. That can kill a team quickly

 

Good luck with defense for.... the other 2 guards that would have to guard Lebron. If either we or the Cavs can get Melo for free without giving anything up it's a huge deal.

Melo + Love + LeBron rotation simply doesn't make sense, and if someone gets benched that player is not going to be happy with the decision. If that happens that benched player will eventually leave the team, so ultimately you are replacing aging Melo with either Love or LeBron (most likely Love). So in the end, Cavs will be losing TT+Frye+Love just to acquire Melo. That's idiotic.

 

I agree with the concerns, but I think they want to get rid of Rynos contract and bring in another superstar magnet. I'm not convinced Melo is really good, but as a fourth or fifth option, ok

 

Obviously he wouldn't be the 4th or 5th option here he would be the third, and I don't care what is reported or what he says, if the going gets tough melo is not going to be happy being a stretch four haha. He is going to get the ball in the flow of the offense and then the offense is going to stop.

You think a disgruntled player will perform at this best for the team? Love already sacrificed a lot of his career to be just the third wheel on a championship contending team. Now you ask him to be a mere bench player? Also, I guarantee that Love thinks he's still better than Melo (because he is), and if anyone needs to go to the bench based on objective criteria, it's Melo not Love. Good luck with the chemistry.
