...(a) Morey is cooking up something big, and (b) other teams are helping him do it because they too hate the Warriors. Discuss.
Crazy that all these years of signing non-guaranteed deals and trading for NG deals actually means we are planning a big move. What a time to be alive!
It's actually an ingenious way to create an artificial trade exception. I'm not sure why more teams haven't thought of this strategy before.
I just find it interesting that Morey is finding all of these willing trade partners when it's obvious what he's doing. I think what Durant and the Warriors did literally devalued the whole league and that lots of team executives seem to be willing to help us fight back.
Rockets basically are going to make a deal by tomorrow night. All these non guaranteed contracts will screw up by Saturday.
Posted in another thread but does anybody know or can anybody calculate all the NG contracts we've acquired and find out what their total combined salary is for next season? I read Kelly's jumps to over a million for instance. I'd like to know what all of their salaries for next year equal and then what that number is times 175%. Which, under the new cba, is how much salary we can take back in trade. I'm wondering how close we are to possibly be doing a straight up trade with the Knicks for melo using mostly NG contracts
