I ho I hope Windhorst will prove to be correct. Adding Paul George, Zaza and re-signing Nene will make me feel better, despite my concerns of having only one ball to go around with 3 ball handlers. I request the moderators to delete this duplicate post. Sorry for the error.

Right. Nuts, but that relationship had apparently fallen apart. It makes it even crazier though that we are trading so much to get him.
Chris Paul traded to the Houston Rockets | THE HERD The Herd with Colin Cowherd Published on Jun 28, 2017
CP3/Harden/Gordon is a quality combination of guards. Expect to see those 3 on the court at winning time.
I'm sorry you need 3 superstars to feel better? Most ppl would lose their mind with just trading for one.
God I hope we don't end up paying a 33 year old Chris Paul $205 million he'll be making $35 million a year when he's like 38! I'm glad we're being aggressive it my hate for Chris Paul is making it hard for me to enjoy this move
He's assuming the Rockets were going to get Paul anyways in free agency, which is a big assumption. The reason he really liked it so much for the Clips is because they would have gotten absolutely nothing if he walked away to the Rockets in free agency.
Nice, with Ariza at the 4 and Nene or Capela at the 5, that is pretty salty. Obviously another all star type would help but just guarding CP3/Gordon/Harden will be almost impossible for any team. Granted, we will give up a lot on defense unless we can get our hands on PG13.
Upping the risk profile. We are creating a window of 2, maybe 3 years. We'll pay for it on the backend, but that's the risk part of it.
He has a $3.6m (or so) trade kickers, too. So he only make $6m less than max with that added in. Then he probably has a promise from Les to sign a 4yr max with us, and the max might actually increase some. So that is 5 yrs max pay with the rockets vs 4 yrs if he opts out, plus getting the trade kicker and higher Bird Exception raises with us. He also might actually make more money than a 5yr with LAC considering raises work off of higher base salary.. Seems like only a little les at worst, assuming Les gives him a 4yr Max. Now if Les gives him a 5yr max, he's making significantly more by staying max for longer in age...i.e. 6yrs, with 1 at old max (plus the trade kicker) and 5 at new max.
