    I detest superteams. Give me 2 great players and a solid bench any day.
    I have mixed emotions about these coming changes.

    this does't make sense to me...

    we can't give up anything else. I mean... pat bev and lou williams. Man. That was a huge chunk already. Like. I seriously don't feel good about this at ALL.

    Let's say we get paul george or melo. So what? Three stars and a bunch of scrubs? That's not gonna work.

    I explicitly stated Chris Paul would not come to Houston, and I'm happy that blew up in my face. However, how on earth is there even a chance we get Paul George??? Indiana isn't going to give him away and they literally will have to do just that if we want him. Our pick is gone, our only young asset besides Capela is gone, our best valued contract is gone as well as 1 of our 2 expirings.

    Assets? To get CP3 for Bev, Dekker, and Lou is a steal. Bev is by far the best of the bunch and as good as Bev is, he isn't a future hall of fame player. The impact to our assets was minimal - Dekker is just young, Lou is basically a known commodity on a one year deal.

    ....besides - Boston probably would have preferred to get Chris Paul if they had known he would come that cheap.

    Exactly. This is a fleecing -- Bev is top 5 all time favorite Rockets and Lou fits our offensive identity to a T, but CP3 is an all time great! Easy trade to make in my opinion!

    The asking price for George is dropping every single day he inches closer to next summer when he is a FA. Teams aren't going to risk giving up much if George is a rental and if LA was going to trade for him, they probably already would have. I'm just saying the market for George is probably softer than you would think given his well publicized preference to play in LA once he is a FA....his team can't let him walk for absolutely nothing so they are primed to grab even marginal assets if that's all they have available to them.

    To get Paul George, Rockets would have to give up Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson at least. They would only get 1 year of Paul George though, so long term I don't like it. But if the Rockets give up EG, they will probably sign JJ Reddick
