I think you're overreacting a bit. Not only does it give us his bird rights, but it immediately saves us 10mil or so to spend THIS YEAR, which will go a long way to sign another star. It's a win-win for both teams IMO.
If this doesn't make H-town a destination I don't know what will. Huge that Paul picked Houston over SA, I would have never imagined. Now if they can get something going on inside this team is going to be interesting to watch. The two best assist guys in the league on the same team? That is an indefensible backcourt.
Super wow. Bev, gonna be missed but we probably got the best years of his career before he ends up getting paid. Value. Dekker, still has potential but not a game breaker. Lou, I'm 100% ok with moving on. He went nuclear a few games but I didn't think he was an overall positive. Pick- who cares, probably a tweener forward or eurostash anyway. It truly isn't a HUGE deal, for one of the best PGs of recent history and current NBA. Amazing. Who's next? lol... Paul George. Or Carmelo....
because it doesnt make any sense. Everyone just see's oh we got cp3. Great now we're stuck with 2 guys who need the ball and will have to "adjust" to playing with each other. Meanwhile giving up the runner up for 6th man of the year, and an all defensive player. its ludicrous. this is gonna come back to bite us in the ass i guarantee it.
Probably means Paul George is going to Boston eventually? 3rd star would have to be signed in free agency since assets are going to Clips?
It saves us $10 million, but we can't spend it exactly. It's not like it created $10 million in cap space. We took on more salary than we traded out here. Anyway, I'm not against the deal for Chris Paul obviously, just hate that we had to include a 1st round pick to secure the deal. That seems ridiculous.
For me one of the biggest positives is this puts am end to the asinine idea of Ricky rubio to the rockets Lol at holic
