I'm fine with this on two conditions:
    1. The Rockets lose Gordon, Lou Will and/or Beverley in a trade to bring in a more talented player like a Paul George, Jimmy Butler, etc.
    2. He signs a reasonable, relatively short-term deal. Anything more than 2 years, $20 million would be crazy for me, and even that number makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little bit.

My nightmare scenario: Morey dumps one of those three quality guards for a draft pick with the hopes of turning that pick or that 1st round player into something bigger. Then he can't swing a deal involving that pick/player and has to turn around and sign Nick Young to replace the guard he just unnecessarily dumped. If that happens, it's going to be a rough offseason...

I don't think it makes sense to add Young unless one of Beverley, Gordon and/or Lou Will are gone. If the Rockets keep all three of those guys, where is Young going to get minutes?

Drew League's LAUNFD players are taking their talents to H-Town...
"[Bobby] Brown said that LAUNFD will have Harden, [Nick] Young and an NBA All-Star to be revealed later next season, too."

If we're able to get rid of Ryno's contract, sign 1 or 2 impact players, and sign Young for a Nene like contract as a filler 11th guy type, then sure it wouldn't be too disappointing.

I agree with you on all of this, but if Young just opted out of $5.7 million, my guess is he's not looking to take a discount for anybody. If he is, and they can get him to sign for less than he was set to make in LA, I'd call that a win.

Were talking about everybody for George. Any combination possible. But Bev is a key. Gotta be able to get the right player in the draft for him.

Hey, I'm DOWN for a depleted bench if we swing a great trade. Quit moaning guys.

Any word what he'd sign for? Room exception?

Rockets are also willing to be a third team in a more involved trade.

There are a lot of things being thrown around, and it likely doesn't involve George ending up in Houston, as much as they would like it.

Although, I have been told the Rockets will push hard to get George, with the belief it will help them add Chris Paul or another all star caliber piece.

Still far far more likely that the Rockets end up on the outside looking in.

I'd hope for the vet minimum, room exception should be there for Nene...?

You all do realize that he's insinuating this happens after some major shake ups? Give me three stars and I'll gladly take Swaggy P's candy ass in Htown
