The difference is every team in the league will be after Zinger

I would give up anyone not named Harden to get him.

It's nice to dream, but the Rockets don't have the type of high-upside prospects or picks that it would take to acquire someone like Porzingis. Paul George makes sense, because given his 2018 leverage, many teams around the league are unlikely to bid heavily. With Porzingis super young and under club control for many years (and cheap), this is going to be an entirely different type of bidding -- all about top young prospects and/or high picks. He'd be a good fit, and for that matter so would LeBron James and Kevin Durant... but there's no reasonable avenue to pursue. Next.

Sources indicate that Rockets are 100% after Paul George, therefore leaving Kristaps Porzingis' pursuit holding at 0%, tied with Jiri Welsch and Zarko Paspalj.

We'll take Carmelo off your hands but you have to give us Kristaps. And we aren't giving any good prospects or picks in return but you have to take Ryan Anderson off our hands. Deal? Phil? Phil? Phil, are you still there? [Looks at phone ... "Call ended"]

Yep, if anything the Celts should be in on this heavy. Their starting C is still TBD every other game.

Olynyk, Amir Johnson, and Zeller can only do so much. Unless they only see Kristaps as a PF, which I believe he can actually play both.

Good to see you back Cat.

that's code for we have nothing to offer lol

the Knicks want assets for Melo, if they wanted garbage then they would've given him to the Clippers months ago...Porzingis will cost u a sh*t ton of assets as well

Knicks give up their 2 best players for an inconsistent 3pt shooter, a decent scorer and a 5 who is pretty useless without a good PG?

Even if we throw in picks (which will be low hanging fruit) and a young player (which will also be low hanging fruit), Knicks FO can't be that dumb.

If Boston is smart, they snag him before lunch ends.

Sorry guys, but the only way the Rockets get into the Porzingis conversation is with Harden.

This I absolutely agree with, but I'd still start him as a pf next to Clint. But he'd see some time at the 5 too.

I don't get it, does Porzingis have some sort of baggage we don't know about? Some sort of potential career ending injury/ailment?

Because he's pretty much the only thing the Knicks have gotten right in this century.

gotta give up the house for zingis. sadly there are plenty of teams that can easily outbid us.

has there ever been a wackier duo than what harden/porzingis would be?

To even have a shot at the guy, you'd need one of the top picks in the draft. Even then, you'd have a potential revolt on the part of the Knicks' fans (the same ones who derided him at the draft; cue, Video of crying Knicks fan child in the stands).

No, he's just unhappy with the Knicks dysfunctional organization. Didn't show up to exit meetings. Pretty much ignoring them.

We should trade them Tad Brown and salary filler for Phil + Porzingis then Morey can just get Phil and his triangle up outta here with the stretch provision:cool:

I wonder how much have these rumors of Porzingis being available will affect the Paul George market. Teams may be less willing to offer up too much to Indy in an effort to save assets to offer for him. A young and rising player like Porzingis is worth much more than a year rental of Paul George.

We'll take Melo off their hands by giving them a worse contract belonging to a worse player, while trading our inferior big man for their star big man?

    Sounds legit.

Wow, apparently the GARM can't make up their minds on whether or not Clint Capela is garbage or a future all-star. He's either or when it's convenient for their argument I guess
