Thats the problem, the casual sports fan who stritcly looks at accolades while ignoring everything else. Have you watched any of James Harden's postseasons? They've mostly ended in disappointment, and this year he flat out quit. I dont need a crack pipe to see a player who stopped competing in a elimination game then went to the strip club to celebrate the loss. He can be replaced Those years before Harden got here were some of the best years as a Rocket fan. AB, Scola, Lowry, Battier, Chuck etc.. Those teams played hard EVERY night and gave max effort. This Rocket team is more talented but our best player doesnt have the work ethic or desire to win a ring. Mine as well get him outta here while he has value
those teams sucked, no hope for ring.. watching crap players get beat by the kings, at least we can beat the spurs, we own the mavs now. what else do you want i cant for when harden passes hakeem in rockets alltime scoring list
Lmao, those years before Harden were some of the best as a Rockets fan? Man, wth is going on in this thread? Those years were a complete waste of time. The Rockets weren't good enough to make the playoffs, but were too good to get a high lottery pick. There was nothing to get excited about or to be hopeful in.
So according to David Aldridge, Indy want a starter, a young prospect and 2 1st round pick. Eric Gordon is from Indy and a borderline all star. We can throw in one of/both Dekker/Harrell to sweeten the deal. I think our offer is quite competitive given how limited the market for Paul George is. Keeping my fingers crossed that Cleveland won't offer Kevin Love....
could get lebron james, anthony davis and the reincarnation of michael jordan and there'd still be empty seats at the toyota center
basically if Paul George is available, you trade anyone not named Harden to get him. That's the 2nd quintessential piece that keeps us competitive and potentially keeps Harden here on another extension. Surrounding Harden with role players isn't gonna get it done. You either rebuild through the draft or go after a guy like Paul George. But honestly, we have no draft picks. you only draft paul george if you are going to get draft picks. Bev, Dekker and Capela won't get it done. So this sounds like dreamcasting to me.
I think the Warriors would have trouble defending a crunch time lineup of CP3/Lou/Harden/George/Capela. It would probably be a close series. Roughly ranking the players, the Rockets actually would have comparable (though less) talent. Durant Curry/Harden/CP3 -- George Green -- Klay Iguodala -- Lou Capela Livingston
Cavs better be trading Love...Watching them get George by trading Shumpert, Frye and weak sauce picks will get me pissed. On a separate note, would absolutely love to pickup Frye if the Cavs do make a deal. He's the black Ryan Anderson making only 8 million per next season.
