jerry west was also smart enough not to sign dwight howard, maybe he had conections in los angeles to tell him how much of a cancer the guy was
I have no idea what Morey's thought process is right now with trying to get those two here in houston. Hayward makes sense but CP3? Do we then trade ryan anderson or dekker if we get Hayward? Sounds like a Derp move....
I don't be see any reason to doubt Morey's ability to surround a core with solid role players. Cap be damned, he's never had any problem putting amazing role players around his foundational pieces. It might take an extra year to put the whole thing together, but again, that's never been an issue. Our shortcomings have been a product of our stars not producing enough, or injuries. He knows this and intends to have enough star power to ensure enough production from the foundational pieces before he moves to the secondary pieces.
CP3 doesn't make sense with Harden running the point. One year after we make that significant position change we would then bring in another top PG??? He fits much better with Spurs than us. Seems like going hard for Hayward SG/SF and Gallinari SF/PF would make more sense. Trade Ryan Anderson, Trevor and Sweet Lou, and then add another C and a 3/D guy (Sefolosha, James Johnson, PJ Tucker). This would seem more doable than two more max guys and would help us maintain our depth. Does that get us into contention with GS, talent wise no, but team wise we would have better defenders and 3pt shooters than last year and that should move us closer.
I doubt that we would ever get where GSW is, that team won 73 games - most in history. And in the Wild Western Conference. Nice feat. What we could do is annoy them or take 2 games from a series.
Hey buddy, I said MDA would be a mere upgrade of 44-48 wins BEFORE they signed Ryan and Ego. Without those 2 we would definately be at my prediction.
Thanx cyber for the updates! It doesn't hurt to try to get even one of them here even if it's not that realistic.
If there was another super team that can be formed, I think Morey would be the one to formulate it. Do not pass on CP3, he is what Harden needs. Harden respects history player more than player skills.
Lebron has quite the power among players and he said he probably wanted to play with CP3 before he retires. Dun know how much he wants to do it but there is the next Big 3 happening. Harden and those 2 could happen but Harden isn't the best fit among this three.
The difference is once they catch the ball they can do something with it other than just shoot. Don't we all die a little inside when Trevor catches it and tries/has to dribble the ball? Players with a more diverse skill set are welcome in my book.
I love how people say cp3 doesn't make sense. He is one of the best PGs ever ... would take the ball out of hardens hands more Esp at end of games ... and give another option plus really help harden become better. cp3 is better with the ball and will get at least 50% split handling the ball with harden Harden is more efficient when someone creates for him You add a player like that and figure out the details later but it works.. if wade and lebron didn't prove this point I don't know what will
I could see a scenario where a team with 3 stars could beat a team with 4 stars, if the role players are better or fill their roles better. After all, there is only one ball to go around at a time.
If CP3 isn't arriving here all drunk or sucks like Ty Lawson, which could very well be a possibility as even HOFers like Pippen quit here.
CP3 is 32 years old, Injury prone, those hammys are tender as, couldn't succeed with a good team. He was a great player but he just isn't what the rockets need to be honest. I could see Hayward here though
As great as CP3 is, is another guard that much of an upgrade for this team? Or is Rox going to ditch Harden for another player.
Clutchfans: "Stars dont wanna come here, we need more stars" Star wants to come here: "There's only one ball, he wont be able to share with Harden" "CRY, CRY" "WHINE, WHINE" LMAO SHUT UP! LOL.
